I love naked sport bikes! Id trade mine off in a heart beat. Unless they make it fucking ugly. Most modern nakeds are fucking ugly these days.

Unless I missed something here, this rumour is almost 8 years old. However, I think a mildly retuned ZX14R motor in a naked bike along the lines of the new Z1000 would be awesome and I would be interested if the could get the fat off. For some reason when the Japs strip a bike down to make a naked, they gain weight, lose massive power and make the bike as ugly as sin, witness the B King, I don't get it.

Ugly...agreed. Fat...agreed. Detuned...agreed. Witness the KTM 1290. It defeats all of the above. I want one!

Now if Kawi made a lighter, sleeker, powerful 190. Hp naked. We would all buy one.

I hate how they put plastics on a naked. Fucking hate the z1000 because it has plastics. A naked is supposed to be naked! And a single round headlight.

For now it's KTM 1290 until the Kawi engineers answer. Let's face it the BKing was less ugly than the busa!

We have C. Detuned is of no concern.

I like the 1290 duke. Simple, sexy, and still had its balls.

My boy Beast over here in Tdot almost commissioned the build of a first gen zx 14 naked bike from a 14 builder here. The costs did not make it a worthy project, but it sure would get my attention.

And yeah, the plastics on the ZED - huge turn off!

Nobody knows how to do a naked quite like Ducati. This is the sexiest platform for a naked. This is how all nakeds should look.

I'm still enamored with fairings. A naked bike has to look weird. Like rat bike weird. That Duc up there is like some kinda weird! Like a rich guys version of a rat bike. I like. would ride for sure. My first choice for a naked bike would be something a lot lighter than a 14r. I'd go more for liter or 600 with huge@$$ sprocket. I'm not going over 150 mph on a naked bike anyway.

This Duc is as bad azz as it gets, Retro cafe styling and naked.... I love it! Build this with the 14Rs stroked motor and KHI would have a winner, I'd be first in line to order one.

Unless you're mega rich, that's a DIY project for someone with the skilz and time on their hands. It looks easy to just rip the plastics off of a race replica and voila, you have a naked but the result is usually an abortion. These kind of bikes were never designed to look good without the fairings, they is butt uglee underneath!

I miss my old naked bike. I think it was pretty cool!

I miss my gsf 1200 some days. It was a sexy looking naked even though the quarter fairing was fuggly.

Kruz, way back when, someone thought it looked "nasty-(nasty)" and started a mini trend of their own. Looking back, the '06 is Hooliganasty. Today's mule looks like someone spooled their fishing tackle over it with 'Spider wire.' (inside joke to those who fish).
