Ahhhhh Bean thankyou, you said it better than I ever could've mate! I was just discussing the 'syndrome' with Rook the other evening. This is where the best and baddest comes out and you buy that and then something else that's a couple hundredths quicker or 10 lbs lighter or whatever comes out and you gotta have that as well. I got caught up in it, it seems there's always something just a little better out there and that's fine but at some point you just have to say I have enough!

Hell yeah man...nothin wrong with your zx.She's way cool.Same with all the others here.Someone here made a statement concerning something I said about my new bike being smooth.It's smoother than MY old 07.But a guy throwing some cash at an earlier model zx could very easily match the suspension and ride quality I would imagine.I can't say...nor would I assume that the new bike is flawless and unreachable with another year model modded out.Stock for stock...no...I truly feel the new bike is way ahead.It is concerning my 07.For a new stock bike....the improvements really stand out...they do.No gettin around that.But to mod another year with Ohlins and BST's and stuff...it would probably be very close either way.

Motul 300V Factory Line, used it since run in. 30K and still going strong, dropped every 5000 with a new filter.

three months Later I said to my wife (Sat in my X-trail at the Kwaka Dealers im just gunna Test ride a ZX14 she said OK but your not getting one!! So I took a Demo 2010 ZX1400 out for a ride came back stunned at the extra 40HP & how smooooooooth & Linear the gears were ! & how low the Center of Gravity was to the CBR1100xx I gave the keys back to Shane & walked back out to the MOF LOL with the Pink slip He HE He should of been within earshot mate I'm laughing right now about it ! she said your Not Buying it STEPHEN !where not getting a loan ! I said Nah i'll just put my X-Trail in the Trading Post i've got 2 weeks before my new ZX14 turns up

I have thought the same thing--brand new stock best and newest v last gen all modded the heck out-- the old gen prolly gonna take the new. ....BUT (big but)

..set up the new one with all the same mods and the upper hand is changed back again.

The newest and the best is something I might look forward to a few years down the line. Don't get me wrong, I would love a new 14r but the time isn't quite right for me.

Because as you all know I ride every day I will be keeping my 2008 it’s basically stock and eats tire’s as fast as I can put them on so the only way I will get a new one is if someone wants to give me one to do a review any takers?

Hey Bean Mate, you have the best looking ZX-14 on this site IMHO, don't go trading it off. Truth be known, I'd like to keep adding more bikes to my collection, a Busa would be nice, a Super Duke KTM, the new Ducati 1199 and a BMW S1000RR for starters.

Problem is, I am unable to get enough seat time, especially in the winter to keep what I have busy. Adding more right now would just add fuel to the fire.

Am I going to add a sixth any time soon....I don't know. The 1199 Panigale has me intrigued, stay tuned!

I will try to post up a new group shot of my fleet when we get some decent weather, raining continuously here. That old group picture shows the '08 ZX-10R which is long gone, '11 model now takes it's place. New addition mods on some of the other bikes but otherwise not much else has changed.....and that includes mileage...LOL!

'07 CBR100RR just broke 7,000 miles
'09 ZX-6R 3500 miles
'11 ZX-10R 1700 miles

This is one reason I don't like to sell/trade in my old bikes, keep 'em garaged, out of the rain and you won't be able to tell them from new. This bike was 8 years old last November.

June 2005, bike had just over 3000 miles at the time. Look at exhaust tips, no fluff, day I put the Cobras on there.

They're pretty pampered, promised myself I'd never sell any of them, keep growing the collection. My '08 Zx10R made a liar out of me. Busted that thing up pretty good, knew she'd never really be the same after that. Keep 'em garaged, covered and pampered and they never really get old.
