I had a recent experience where I dumped my 2011 zx14. I was out for a ride west of Houston, going through Fayetteville. I decided to go down a side street to turnaround and take a different route. Going about 5 mph I took a right at the first intersection on what looked like asphalt, but was really 1/8 inch black gravel on top of asphalt, why they chose this particular road cover is beyond me. As I made the turn the front tire washed out from underneath me and I face planted. After gathering myself, I got up and then managed to pick the bike up. As i started to assess the damage I realized oil was pouring out of the right side. A piece of gravel punctured the pulser cover through the plastic. I made it to a service station where I ran into a guy who owned a motorcycle shop, he helped me fix the pulser cover with JB weld and put in two quarts of oil and managed to make it home. Really bummed, I was shocked how easily the cover was damaged. Anyone else have these issues on a low speed right-side drop?
