What you can't see is the same late apex to the left. This is late apex and butter out the lane to the bitter end(s) so you are still at an angle and not standing the bike up in the middle of the road. The buttering is to keep the flow in a smooth out, then bring it in.

Greenie, bring in your video and show them how not to take a sweeper. Get year old ass out on a race track so your spleen thanks you, your bike thanks you, the medics thank you and the chopper guys would rather fly so they are up in the air about dis one.

And you look like you know what you're doing?

What I see is a video that's been speeded up to give the appearance of fast riding.Try puttin yer camera up near the displays next time.So we can match speed with maneuver. And keep the speed on your playback on 'normal'....

All I really see in that vid is a guy that's taking twisting s's and not doing a very good job.At probably around 45 MPH....Those are teensy compared to the runs here....the speeds are at least double and sometimes triple yours.Sorry....just callin it like I see it.You get out and roll into a nice big deep sweeper there..and get er up to anywhere above 120....then show me....see how ya apex that.I've watched those Mulholland tapes...those guys aren't hittin anywhere near a ton.Much simpler when ya roll in nice and slow and roll out.Not the same thing as I've shown...it's just not.I'm not taking anything away from em...they're mostly excellent riders. But the conditions are very different. And I aint trying to say "i'm the shit" either.I can crash just like anyone else. And have.

"And you look like you know what you're doing?"....well...it was me riding on the video'd bike...IDK....do I look like I know what I'm doing?I crashed...yeah...so?That somehow takes away all the turns I've made in riding? If that's the case...every pro needs to hang it up and stop writing books about 'how to ride like Jason Pridmore' and such.Make some sense, will ya....anyone can look at my vids and judge for themselves if I am doing okay....I honestly don't know WHY you feel you need to critcize little ole me...I'm just riding and having fun...and not trying to tell others they don't know jack or can't ride right because they've never hit a track.???Some coach you are.I want my money back!

And no...I never DID find that little go-pro...swallowed up by another Big Ass curve;)I do believe THAT turn was at 120 something...she was leaned in far enough to hit the pavement and rip that cam off.

Besides...I don't know why I get involved in these 'conversations' with you anyway...they always end up the same way....throwing shit at someone.I guess I just don't like the 'misrepresentation' of what's being shown and then dissing another who's playing it straight. You're slipperier than a 'greased weasel'.

Now...to the task at hand...

Smooth Translates to Fast
05/20/13 1:38 PM

First, it's not about speed. It's about being smooth and being at the right place at the right time. It's called timing. You don't see it is all or you are looking where? It's called 'late lines' where you hang your ass way out before you hit the apex.

1. You don't see setup.
2. You don't see the smooth.
3. You don't see the transition from left setup to right setup.
4. You don't see the position of the cam and that white line coming at you.
5. You don't see the race line and would be dangerous to ride with.
6. You explaining shit is you don't see it is rattle off mph numbers is not how one rides fast in a sloway.

Yes...speed is 'nothin'...when ya don't intend to ratchet things up a tad.Sa'll good...and you're right...speed doesn't prove anything really. But I'll say this...when ya start getting 'up there' on THIS bike...ya best be able to keep yer head in the game....My vid proves that;)

"rattle off mph numbers is not how one rides fast in a sloway".It's not 'rattling off numbers"...it's riding the numbers...not talking about doing it.

"rides fast in a sloway"...you needn't explain why you have to speed up your vids....it's okay...you go at your own pace;)I understand this bike is a handful...not for the faint of heart.Isn't that why we love this thing so much?

Make some sense, will ya....anyone can look at my vids and judge for themselves if I am doing okay
I am da judge. I can tell you are not setup for the line period.

I honestly don't know WHY you feel you need to critcize little ole me.
I'm using your lines as an example how not to be at this point if you are at this point is point that out to others.

I'm just riding and having fun...and not trying to tell others they don't know jack or can't ride right because they've never hit a track.???Some coach you are.I want my money back!
You showed your cards in public view. If you want to go fast, there is a certain way getting around a curve. You ride more in the center and wind up in the center but run in too early or say... Wayyyyyyyyy Toooooooooo Early.

It showslow early entry for someone who keeps pointing out mph numbers as lift you zipper sort of showing your winkie pulling it out like that saying, see that 124 incher I made thru that turn? I sure don't know how to setup that curve but I went thru it having fun at it oh here comes a truck and what's me doing over here on the ground waiting for heli?

I missed my helicopter days...at 12K a ride...I wanted the full treatment....I say again....wrecking is a part of riding...as you well know. It's always a possibility. There's a LOT of luck on your side there Hub...watching your vid...you're VERY fortunate actually to not have bit the big one several times during your ride. And I'm dangerous.Yeah...I pick my lines according to what's coming up...yeas.And I do try to give myself room for oncomers. It aint a racetrack. One 'cross the line' drinker or sightseer...that's all she wrote.Surely you can understand that.I'm choosing those lines....not reacting to them.

And as far as my crash video is concerned...I KNOW exactly what I did to create that scenario.I've since taken that curve several times now...and thought about it.I don't intend to be 'asleep at the wheel' again. One helicopter ride was enough after all these years.;)

And if you with your experience can't see that the curves and such in my vids are a LOT different than those short twisty ones you've got...well...not my problem.YOU try apexing some of these big fast sweeps here...then tell me there's only ONE way to handle these.Ever hear of a double apex? That kind of thing.Lots of that here.Hell...the lanes aint 30 feet across...with no chance of meeting your maker. You get these wrong...well...we both know what happens then...don't we?It aint 45 MPH.

Where is my greenie video? Actually, it takes a lot of experience not luck. Try your high speed numbers in the tight stuff. I'm not impressed withe vid if anything it's a good example like I said. And like some seasoned daytrackers will tell you grn, that is not even fast yet. Without you having experienced it... "No investigation, No write toe speak" is put your foot in it instead.

What was that line Stoner said to Rossi? 'Your ego exceeded your talent?' Hey, greenie? Did you check out the ABSweetness yet? Oh yeah that's right. I saw that vid you pulling clutch in and braking on the road not the dirt. Better do that over so we are on the same page.

"Try your high speed numbers in the tight stuff"...what kind of statement is that?

" Actually, it takes a lot of experience not luck"...uh huh.I see...with me..it's 'shitty lines' and all. With you..it's 'skill and experience'.And I don't give two twinks about Stoner's attitude towards Rossi's.You can't give a 'review' about abs....You don't USE the rear brake...remember?At least I gave er a shot...more than once...more than you see in any vids of mine.Let's see ya video YOU slamming your FRONT BRAKE then...in the DIRT....instead of yammering about my 'mishaps'.You won't do what you tell me I should do.I know what it'll do with YOUR suggestions....I'd like to keep my bike as damage free as possible thanks.

What are you waiting for....to see if I can pull things off first before you get the cahones to try it?That's what it looks like.I don't want to ride your tight twisties....no thanks.I like rippin too much.45 wouldn't be much excitement for me...sorry.I KNOW the bike won't do R-1 or ZX10 stuff. So why be stupid and suggest I do it?YOU show it...in real time....So we can see just how technical a 45 mph jaunt should be.I gotta say...for 45 mph...you sure don't look like you have it down....just my opinion. One inch farther...you'd have been into the berm and on yer ass.You got lucky.

You suggest I try to lock my brakes 'in the dirt'...WTF would I want to do THAT for?...you ride around in the dirt do you?No wonder you don't get it.It's a street bike HUB...not a MX'r.Sheesh...thought you'd know the difference by nowLOL!!!!

Sorry...I watched it again...I'm not seein the 'skill' you keep talkin about.I see wide right handers and missed apexes...that's what I see.And a close call with that guy in front of ya...Nope...I'm just not seein your mastery in your 45 mph rides.

I think ya need to get outta those speed limited turns...and into some big numbers curves...not sqiddaddling through traffic on the freeway either. Some hard fast deep corners where you can REALLY feel the bike get into it's element. That's what I think. It aint a fantastic canyon carver...but open bigger powered stuff...yeah...you do that..then tell me what ya think about my 'lines' and such. You can't even approach the bike's 'potential' as you say in those turns your so proud of...Not even close. It aint MADE for that.

"Oh yeah that's right. I saw that vid you pulling clutch in and braking on the road not the dirt. Better do that over so we are on the same page"....it's statements like these that just totally baffle me...they're honestly so contradictory...I wonder if you're really okay upstairs What 'page' are YOU on.Metal Mulisha?Supercross?

grn, you wouldn't know a line from a clothes line. I'm just fun'inn with ya. Like dis one. You sure spend a lot of time one the net for having a job and getting enough sleep to go to one. I kept you up last night was it? I was at it today until I took a ride in traffic splitting lanes there and back. You're missing the fun.

You know I gotta dig at ya a tad...what the fuck fun would it be if we just fought back and forth about stuff. You're the tech guy...I'm the crash dummy.Your riding techniques are fine....honestly...I'm not tellin ya with these 'different' riding styles we have that you can't ride.Or know nothing about carving.I'd have a hard time running twisties I think...maybe not...but it does take lots of skill to do it successfully and come away in one piece.Hell...I know that.Especially on THESE monsters. These roads here are very different...not like Mulholland or the Ortegas or the Rock Store stuff.I mean...there are places of quicker turns and stuff...but who wants to get on a narrow two laner and rail through these 'sleepy' towns here and get nailed by a tractor coming across on a blind curve? Not me.I have a friend who likes to go fast on these narrower two laners here.I just won't do it.I'll ride em...but very close to the soeed limits...that's for sure.Nowhere to go IF.....and that's a big part of the equation here on these smaller roads...IF.

I actually DID try locking my wheels on some dirt.It wasn't very confidence inspiring...better than a slide...but not much.It couldn't make up it's mind whether to lock or loose. Not good.On the road however...it had no problem determining the right amount of application to keep er from skidding.THAT was confidence inspiring. At 100 mph and slamming...it stopped very quickly and safely...full pedal...full ABS application.

While you're splitting lanes..I was passing multiple trucks at well over a ton....and dodging the oncomers.I'm not missing anything Hubster;)But I better knock it off...my ticket's already been punched to the limit I think.

Remember I said to look way out ahead so you both see the line and traffic?
Remember I said to draw a line and then make that squiggly line next to it?
Remember I said to look at that and draw a straight line thru the two lines from A to B?
Remember I said NOLTT?

You blow a line there you are over a cliff.

"You blow a line there you are over a cliff"...you gotta cross the centerline first though;).

Right there at 34 seconds...that little s right there..that's not 'hanging back for the next turn"...that's "hello silver cage...I'm HERE!We gotta stop meeting like this"LOL!!!

I get it about 'making a straight line'...ON THE TRACKLOL!!You do that consistently on the street...yer in for a helluva wakeup call.....;)Yeah...I get it.You don't consistently do that,do ya?Please say it aint so.

I think it should be noted however...you ARE riding a much lighter bike than the 14 or 14R....Can we see one on your 14R?

Right there at 34 seconds...that little s right there..that's not 'hanging back for the next turn"...that's "hello silver cage...I'm HERE!

That's Hello no one is around I think I'll straighten the road so I'm safer upright? You can see there are no cars coming. Yes, I can see what is not and IS coming. I'd knew you'd go there because you don't have an apex eye yet.

Go reach around and take an overnight, vacation, rent a trailer, ride there and back, but get some closed course going. There are just so many flashes, wind screens, tires, pee see what I'm saying as if turtle is whispering like I don't want you to hear it?

You want to see Standown? I'm hugging that rail and if you noticed, I backed way off knowing that white van was coming so I hugged the rail and aborted the faster entry. I was going to land where that guy was. Lots of quick decision making.

Can some process more things faster at a faster pace? So when you sit on that bike and say,'I'm going to let lady luck ride me' is boy, use in big trouble!

Smart move you prepaid for that plot

"I'd knew you'd go there because you don't have an apex eye yet"....LOL!!!Apex smapex...hugging the guardrail...shit...I be 'huggin the guardrail' all the time...

That's how you get there is it comes to you. Apex schmpex says it took you a while to see the judder ring position. All of a sudden it came to you, right?

I'm saying the bike has a neck and swingarm change is like the difference between a girl and a boy. You come along and state how the sex act occurs and you think changing the suspension is going to change the girl into a boy is it's already out of the womb. You see how you do not see the gen change yet?

In a way, you are distorting what is stated. You see a word and schermerdy dirty is off to some beaten pathell you going with a neck change is not a suspension change will change anything. Where are you going without the apex complex and if that box van wasn't coming the other way, I woulda put a coat on the county hardware. Where are you going with...

Steering?
Apex?
Comes to you?

You focused on that judder ring. You didn't ride the bike to learn that in other words. Big difference between we going out and playing with the mode buttons. That's how or watt you mean by experiencing 'what comes to you' is 'The Study,' not some everyday experience on the bike oh look I can't holeshothe traffic in low mode. Big differential are those years drag racing.

Up at the light, grn is a lot of seconds ticking away you have no clue thinking you can count down a traffic light the same way.
Big difference you try to follow me in is laugh and follow you in is that apex.
So withouthe skill at a closed course is what I'm saying, grn is you is way too green for diss conversation [experience] wise. The OP has gone to a track school and that is your one day experience on the bike is it elevated you like you can't get there withoutheducati-on track. Peersonally, I pee fur a 14. Makes me all warm inside is how I pee fur it.

Nothing is going to come to you sitting on some road. All those days riding brought you to this point. And you have this perspective that is more off course than what is meant when I said, 'It comes to you.' Grn, out of the blue did the judder come out at you?

Half hour of what? In a half hour, in between our intros, this that sponsor, we are going to tell you [in a few sentences] how to beat Marquez. Is this a joke or what?

Are there not two basic rules and the rest is well... you figure it out?

1. Look way out ahead so when you brake, your balls are the brains.
2. When you accelerate, your ass is now the brains it comes around.

You know what? It would be nice to see you guys both at the NCM MSP rental in late 2014 or maybe Spring 2015!

Seriously. Did you see the posts on the track facility we hope to rent ?

'Splain it in the classroom, Lucy! .... and them lead those that want to learn your lines around the track!

Course one of you is in Montana and and the other in CA? right?

Maybe too far to go to KY for a National/ International rally & track outing!

Still, it would be good to see both of you there; doing your thing with the 14 Nation.

Best wishes,

I am not going to pretend my bike is best suited for the track, but hell yeah I am up for a challenge!!!!
