No better than Kawasaki conventional as far as I can tell but it costs the same and it's synthetic.

Repsol 4T was very expensive and only lasted 500 miles before turning into normal oil. First couple hundred miles it was amazing. Race oil.

Im bored so lets have some discussion on the topic....heres my question...how many of you have ever had an oil related failure with any brand of oil if you have faithfully changed it and the filter at regular intervals?...i have stated to many friends that as long as you use a decent brand of oil and change it regularly you wont have any problems...

always done engine maintenance with Motul semi synth 10w40, except one time when rode the us coast to coast with 15w50 it's hot in nevada 47c, mean green now have 60 k and still running like a brand new IMG_13111.JPG

1 on Mobil 1 motorcycle oil on ZX-14, however, my old ZX-11 is still chummin in the car spec brew.

What "car oil" do you use in your ZX-11?

Scott Yes I have used the Ailsyn pro drive oil from Brock. When I owned the Louisville Slugger 2012 ZX14r that Brock used for R&D to develop accessories we used the pro drive less than 0 weight along with the additive he sells. Raced and street rode the bike for two years with this oil and additive exclusively with no problems. That bike made 226 RWHP and ran a best of 8.80 at 160 in the quarter mile. Stock wheelbase, lowered and stock rear tire. We tran the piss out of that bike and never had a problem running this oil and additive. On my current street 2012 ZX14r I run Mobil 1.

While I truly believe that even the cheapest motorcycle specific oil of proper weight changed every 3k miles or so will give you more protection that you really need in the real world conditions, hence making all of these oil discussions absolutely unnecessary, I choose to go with Mobil1 motorcycle oil. I have noticed a difference in shifting/engine noise while trying different oils on different bikes, but really, never doubted the protection they provided. I am sure besides Mobil1, there are plenty of other oil out there which provide similar results (engine noise, shifting smoothness), but I choose Mobil1 since it is a well known company , top name car companies recommend its oil, and I don't think they are in a position to lie about their products or what they put in them.
