Well, since it was a sunny day and we have a storm rolling in on Tuesday, I decided to take the SV650 out for another shake down.
First stop was at the storage unit to check on KNGKAWI, I fired him up and ran it to full temp to keep the battery fresh. That done, I covered it up, gave it a pat on the tank and set out.
First down Black Butte Rd and onto Wildcat Rd which plunges off the mountain heading south. Plenty of switchbacks and no guardrail so I stayed on my toes. The little SV is now running great and was yawning at my pace
Got down to the valley and turned East with snow capped Mt Lassen on the horizon. Stopped at the historic Manton Store which is getting a full rebuild. Looking forward to it's reopening. I then turned North and climbed back up the ridge on my personal favorite, Wilson Hill Rd which offers hairpins, whoop Dee doos and sections of fast back and forth turns. Gassed up at the Shingletown Market and headed home.
It was a great way to kinda close out the season although I think I can get the 14 out for a few more rides.
