Hi, all.

We have a "real" private messaging system now that probably works more like the private messaging system in forums that you are used to.

Go to your "Profile" page and make sure "Enable private messages" is checked. If you want to receive an email any time a private message is sent to you, set "Send notification email" to "Yes".

The number of unread private messages waiting for you appears in the top menu to the right of the "Private Messages" link when you are logged in.

Please let me know if you experience any problems, either by posting to this thread or by using the "Contact Us" link in the top menu.

I'm back on. Thanks BG> I wasn't going to complain but the old "straight to the email" PM wasn't the greatest for privacy. I spend so much time online, I'm starting to be concerned about minimizing my inet footprint.

........So ....if I enable PMs on my profile, PMs will no longer go to the email associated with my membership? There will be a mailbox here on the site that can be accessed by clicking Private messages???

You can't see the messages you sent. Just the ones you receive. You'd have to copy and pate to a doc to see what you wrote. Sometimes I paste a quote from a message I receive to a reply I send because I know the guy won't know what he said that I am responding to.
