Brock's video helped me plenty. Just don't force anything. Go gently. Don't over tighten when you put panels back. Especially where the tank cover fastens above the grills on the back end just below the tank. Those screws are in a rubber "grommet" that is in the wall of the frame/air box. They are easily damaged if you tighten it too much and will pull out.

Maddy, I used the one yannih has recommended. Does the job.

Well I've had my plastics off quite a bit between the 2 Zx14's I have had 2012 and 2013. should do a write up next time I take them off. here is what I do. You can follow above videos but there is some extra steps that don't need to be done. The left and right side top and lower can be removed as one piece. Gen2 only..
1. Remove foremen grills,
2. remove ram air covers.
3. Remove tank cover.
3. The Left and right side top and lowers can removed as on piece. To do this remove all push tabs under front nose
section, remove screw on top side under the ram air tubes, remove, tank cover plastic, remove push tab in center of front lower, remove all bolts on bottom lowers. Unplug signal lights, remove left side as one piece, remove right side top and lower as one piece. when I get time i'll post pictures.

Just doing some searching here after the fact. Probably the first fairing you'll remove will be the grills. You'll bust off that front tab if it isn't cleared from the inner rubber cover. Watch for a future tutorial by me. I know it's 12 years after the bike was made but time there be some real clear instruction on this.
