I don't agree with disregarding instructors, as I am one, but I know it can be frustrating when a dude on his featherweight bike starts giving advice. Just remember that most instructors have a wealth of experience that enables them to see things in your riding that you may not be aware of.
Rudy... you won't miss it one bit! I love my 14R with a passion, but it's just not as capable as 1000 on the track. You can certainly force a 14 into service out there, but its braking and cornering are outclassed by most modern 600s and 1000s.
