When I took my engine apart I had a LOT of detonation signs on my pistons and cylinder head. Could be from the last owner not treating the bike right, but don't lug the bike in high gear with all this extra timing. Gotta keep things above 4-5k RPMs at part throttle.

Gen 2 bike with a Schnitz flash. I got the Brocks Alien Head fuel mapping. Also told them I had a Spring P08 filter. I always ran pump 93.

I'll tell y'all, I'm *very* impressed with the Schnitz flash and not just because it woke this bike up, but how its smoothed out the engine.
I just completed a 1500 mile 4 day solo trip through the 4 corners, and *not once* did my hands fall asleep, which was *not* the case when I went up to the Bad Lands last year, pre-flash.

P.S.
If any of y'all look to do a similar ride, I'll warn ya of the hundreds of miles of fresh chip seal that literally ate my front tire off. There were some choice words and teeth gnashing when a new tire was a necessity in Cortez, CO.

extrapolator;

I'm not clear on this statment;
'' My bike's off throttle > on throttle is herky jerkier than I like''

I'm not sure if you're saying your throttle up is jerky
or letting off throttle is jerky or both.

Either way I'll try to explain my issue;
My throttle up or acceleration is flawless, but
trying to just barely throttle down is not good
at all , if I just barely roll off
throttle trying to drop a couple hundred rpm the
throttle just drops off a cliff and goes down close
or to idle. I believe it is due to EU Emissions issues.
Any cure for it?

Stratovarious,

Could be your sprocket gearing. Could be a worn out slipper in your clutch (delete it with an SAE Outlaw kit). Could be the extreme fuel-cut that the factory ECU tune has. Likely all three with the last being the biggest cause.

The sensation you are explaining where you are probably getting thrown forward when you let off the throttle any amount is primarily from fuel-cut to meet emissions compliant. Extra fuel on decel is good for the engine and its smoothness but not good for the air. ECU flash will cure. EU emissions compliance is far more strict than USA. Your bike would greatly benefit from the flash, likely more than our bikes over here do, power/torque-wise.

My 2024 is perfectly smooth and every single thing about it is currently stock. WOT, just a crack from zero throttle, just a crack from large throttle, all gears, all rpm, perfectly smooth.

Mt 08 was herky-jerky. The problem was only in first and second gear at low rpm. I'd roll the throttle down to just a crack and it seemed like the engine stalled. Roll it back open and power came back, then immediately roll to a tiny crack again and it ran as it should. The same thing would happen from a full deceleration at zero throttle. Open the throttle just a crack and nothing happened. I could feel tension in the grip from the throttle spring but no response. Roll the throttle a bit larger and I felt power, roll back to a crack and it ran as it should. The bike did this from brand new, 100% stock out of the dealership. I just got used to playing with the throttle at low rpm and light throttle in gears 1 and 2. I had on occasion just held the throttle at a crack to see what would happen. It would take a full second or two before I felt power come back on. I think perhaps the primary throttle sensor was not adjusted properly at the factory. If this sounds like your problem, I'd be very careful about messing with that. It requires a special bit to loosen the screw and your never supposed to touch it. I know of one forum member who marked the original position of the throttle sensor and adjusted the position of the sensor to suit him. His name was 44magnum if you care to search his thread on this issue.
