Been a while since posting. A very good friend of mine passed away from cancer Christmas 2025.
His wife has given me his 2000 ZX9R that has custom paint and a polished frame. This is with the understanding that I am not allowed to get rid of it.
Instead of licensing it I have decided to turn it into a track bike. It needs a lot of work from sitting. Good news is after fresh fuel and making sure inside the tank is ok....it fired right up and has a healthy sound(LOL). MIG Concept high mount slip on. I re did the front calipers and braided lines are on the way.
This is a cool bike and my buddy would be delighted to see it on a racetrack....Let the games begin!!!!

I'm sorry to about your buddy's passing. A little bit of him lives on! I can't think of a better new life for that bike.
