Yes I did the whole thing.Probably got over $800 in materials and over 30+ hours in painting and preeping for paint.It's not too hard to do the grills.Spend more time masking than painting.
This paint is a quad-coat.Black base under a very fine mettalic base under 3+ layers of green candy.
The shop I work at just switched to PPG Waterbourne base and I've been looking in the computer and they have all the motorcycle colors.That includes Kawasaki.Mixed up some Candy Lime the other nite.I'm still stuck on Green with Envy for my Connie tho.
I did finish painting my 09 ZX6R a week ago.Took that Dodge metallic black and swithed out the blue pearl for a green and put a more coarser metallic in it.It's a nice blac with just a hint of green in it.Also Ghosted the emblems in with some green pearls and green candy.Can't wait to get it out!!!!

I have an '07 in mettalic Diablo black. I'd like to have the grills painted to match. No separate color for the "fins", just all black like the rest of the bodywork.

just curious, a little more complex on this one...
about how much for white fins with the recessed line in a nice saturated blue (like painters tape blue)? Leave the Midnight SApphire Blue on the rest of the panel as is--just the fins and the lines.

I was gonna take a shot at doing my own by rattle can this winter but just wondering.

Wow, at least! DAmn, maybe I'll just send mine to you. Hey, I'll PM you for details if I decide to go with your shop. I already bought some paint. Not expensive stuff but still------I might just have a whirl at doing my own. But that is a very nice price and sure looks like you do great work.

ninjamaster, thanks so much for the offer. Things are on hold for now because I crashed my 14 on the 9th. Long story short, I actually flatlined for two minutes from complications to abdominal/colon surgery, came out of it somehow and things are looking good. Just got home last night from the hospital.
I doubt I'll keep the 14 even though it somehow came through with minor damage. Thanks again for the help.
