I can't believe that none of you are riding, or at least telling us about it. Ill do my part to fill up space.
Andy and I set out to ride the Eastern part of the famous Hwy 36 West. I've heard about this road for years but never actually rode it. The sun was out and the temps were perfect although some thunder heads were on the horizon.
Andy set an entertaining pace and I quickly discovered why riders love this road. Nothing but corners and elevation changes for literally miles as we climbed the Coast Range. We could maintain a pace of around 70 on most of it. I'm still having to watch my left toes to keep them from dragging and that sometimes causes me to forget some basic turning requirements which makes me run wide. It's something I need to keep working on.
Eventually we turned North on Hwy 3 and had lunch in Hayfork before returning to Redding , passing by Whiskeytown Lake along the way.
Overall another excellent ride
