Aboot Time!
01/13/15 11:01 AM

My LSL kit finally showed up today. 1 month and 10 days after i ordered it.

I was going to say forget it, but it just looks too pretty to pass on...

I'll be sure to post some pictures of the final product.

Nice Product, easy install.

Only thing that I dont like is that the braided lines do not come with SS Bango bolts.

Rethought location of the blue bottle. And the 12 r saw some enhancement.
Lighter fuel to the wallet.

Those are the standard bars that come with the kit?I went with the 'high bars' option....seems they actually came back further(and higher) than yours in that pic...been a while though.Yours look really good...good upgrade and not too 'obvious'...mine were....'obvious' if you owned a sportbike that is.Mine were a 4" rise, and a 7" pullback.
Had em on there for a few months...but returned to the factory clip-ons...somehow just couldn't feel quite the same as having the stock bar feel.Felt like I had somehow 'traded' my sportbike stance for a fast cruiser...but yours look very good...fitting.

Painted mine satin black to match everything...your bike is truly gorgeous....very nice. You've done a good job.

^^ Agreed that Kawi special edition has always been my favourite first gen scheme. All day long and twice on Sunday!

Needs an arm!
8 or my preference 12. Add chain, links, lines, hardware spring or shock and your done.

Ya Grn, those are the bars that come with the kit. You have 2 options, the superbike flat bar (which i have) or the riser bars which come up reallly high.

I was going to get the black bars but they were on back order so i opted for the ailver. You cant really tell from the photo but they are a gritty powder coat finish. Not a smooth glossy finish. Painting the stem and bars was also a thought of mine... But i think it goes really well with the black and silver plastics i have.

I am not a huge fan of clip-ons. All my previos bikes that had clip ons almost got this kit.... Just never pulled the trigger until now. The kit is rather pricy.

My only problem now are my gauge mounts... I dont know where to put my boost and afr gauges. I stuck the FP gauge under my $2 windscreen and it looka like a good fit. Im open to suggestions for the other 2!

Wolfie, as for the stretch.... They are like this kit... Some people will like it, some people wont. I like the look of the strech but i could just never do one myself.... Well i COULD .... But there are juat so many other things i would do before it.
