Local Dealership, 2026 Hayabusa
10/24/25 4:25 PM

I asked for a price quote on a 2026 Hayabusa. We have a Suzuki dealershi in town and they will get one for me. I'm waiting on a price.

This bike disappointed me so much when it came out and to be honest, I'm not impressed with the tests I've seen in Toutube videos. I really love my Gen2 though and this Gen3 is gorgeous. The engine is built from the factory if you want to make it really fast. I don't think I want to try to outdo a Gen2 ZX-14 with it. What would be the point in that? It would be a fun bike to own with all the fancy electronics and it's a Hayabusa! I'm deadset on a turbo ZX-14R. .....AND I need to replace that Gen1 ZX-14. Am I going absolutely insane? I don't make a lot of money but it looks very secure. I just bought the 14R a year ago. Now I need a used 14R and a used Gen1 and now this Hayabusa because it's so beautiful.

OK and now here I am about to buy one because it's so damn friggin gorgeous.

The 14R has it where it counts but damned if Suzuki doesn't put ongoing effort into making a beautiful bike. This is the second Gen3 busa that just lays me out cold. The 2024 orange and black was a stunner too. They're all pretty but now it's getting too much for me to resist.

$19,608 driveout. According to the qoute, no charge for freight, prep or anything. The only additional charge is for Michigan sales tax.

Gen 3 needs cams and a MaxxEcu to make power/get turbocharged. Otherwise it is a pretty neat bike. I'd like to have the green matte color they make

First priority would be the pipe. I think I'd go with Akrapovic on this one. After that, cams and the Maxx ECU would be on the list. As for turbo, I've learned a used bike makes a lot more sense than a brand new one and the 14R is still the one I'd like to turbo best. I own a Gen2 Hayabusa and no plans to turbo it. I need a used 14R to do that.

Speaking of color, the idea struck me to buy a used Gen3 busa someday and paint it to look like whichever year I like best. With the price of used bikes what it is over the last several years, the cost of a new one doesn't look bad. I'd definitely try to shop price on a used 14R though. Any color or year would do as long as the miles are reasonable.

That is a great color!

Yes, I think so too. It's the best yet for the Gen3 IMO.

I called my bank to check my balance and I have enough and will still have about five grand left over. Then I called the dealership and he said his computer isn't detecting the bike. Maybe it's in short supply. IDK if you read over on the org, BigBS but one of our Canadian members said the largest dealership within a couple hours of him wasn't able to get one of these bikes. I'm wondering if it will be possible for my local dealership to get one either?

Yeah, I don't know what the actual production numbers are or what the distribution will be. I don't know if there will be as much trading amongst dealerships, especially for the SE versions. I hope you are able to get one.

Weird but I won't be disappointed if I can't get it. There will always be Gen3 busas to buy if I'm not picky about color. This one is a special one but the upside of not getting it would be I'd keep my 20 grand. I do have a used 14R and turbo kit to buy and don't forget, I have to replace my 08 Midnight Sapphire Blue ZX-14. I'd be even more excited to do those instead and I could take my time about it. This 2026 Hayabusa thing just grabbed me at the right moment and it's a now or never thing.

I am very much looking forward to you getting one! No need to explain, sometimes things just grab you and you can't let go. Glad you have alternative plans, but would much prefer that you are able to get the first option.

Nope. Sorry. I waited for an email or a message from the dealership all last week and now this week. It's very doubtful he couldn't reach me by email. He emailed me the quote. I did call last week but it was close to quitting time so maybe he took off early to go hunting or something. I'll try early next week and hopefully get the story but I don't think it's going to be good. If he hasn't seized the opportunity to sell a 2026 Hayabusa yet, he probably cant get one. Maybe I mentioned earlier, Bumblebee from the org said even the largest dealership within 200 miles of him in Canada couldn't get one. ....are any of the 2026 bikes available yet?

You look at Kawasaki's website and they still only have the 2025 ZX-14R. Announcing isn't quite the same as selling. If this is the case, I'm pretty surprised my dealer hasn't informed me.

Just a prediction so I'm sort of safe to saying Mother Tea almost has to go to a V-4.

Already Norton comes out with 206HP 130Nm torque, where kawi's inline is 120Nm and under 200HP.

Almost like they have to compete with the duc in WSB so a V4 might show up in a year or two.

Cash waiting here. Might have to sell the 14 and FTR just to make some room in the man cave.

Hell you say, Hub? Mother Tea outdid that when was it....2012? Just buy a 999cc inline four H2. ....although I like seeing other countries jump into the sport bike ring. I'm have high hopes for the Buell Hammerhead. I have too many mainstream motorcycle ambitions to even start to think about the offshoots but some look really cool.

I got an email two days ago from our dealership. New price, $20,138, tax included, no fees for anything else. The seller said he was looking at information under the wrong unit. This one is $530 more. He said he needs a $2000 non-refundable deposit and the balance when the bike comes in which is expected to be early spring.

$2000 non-refundable deposit? What if the bike doesn't come in? The bill of sale lists nothing for freight charges or "other" but what if the bike gets here and there's another 20% tariff slapped on it? That's too much. I'll be calling with questions tomorrow.
