I bet a lunch with a buddy. He sends me an article about tesla beating the 1/4 mile et. I said a 14 would eat it up with a stock engine. He's going back and forth about the extended swing arm and flash. I said the stock engine has the potential with no mods to the engine, no cam, no porting, no lighten valves, etc... stock. I remembered Smoke had a 165 mph in the 1/4 so that was the bet. So this is a 14 doing it all day long....

I read an interesting article that pointed out that while teh Tesla comes in at less than 9 sec 1/4 mile times ( I can't find any documentation yet ) that it does that with a completely full charge and power diminishes with each run .. They would need to fully recharge after every run to be consistent . I would like to find an actual test that shows time and speed.. Kinda give me something to shoot for :) best numbers so far are 155.3 and 9.077 This is all I could find ..."
Update
"The new flagship variant of the aging Model S is powered by a trio of electric motors that combine to produce over 1,100 hp. Tesla says it will hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 2 seconds, run down the quarter-mile in less than 9 seconds and hit a 200 mph (320 km/h) top speed. If the acceleration claims prove to be accurate when the car is launched, it will comfortably be the quickest production car ever (until electric hypercars like the Rimac C_Two, Pininfarina Battista, Lotus Evija, and Tesla Roadster) arrive.""According to the source who attended the event, a Tesla Model S Plaid set a quarter-mile time of 9.23 seconds with a trap speed of 152.16 mph. If those claims are accurate and official, then the Model S Plaid now holds the production car record for the fastest quarter-mile time. "

The chuckle is, he wants the bike with a stock wheelbase, and my argument was a bone stock engine w/out the warm-over . There is no common sense with the guy. The things I hear out of his mouth, the only thing I can come up with was my own take on his logic. As if saying, 'I see you bought a new car.' "No I didn't, I bought a Ford." As if wearing horse blinders... can't think out of the box.

tesla vs busa zx14r
My comment from one year ago is STILL at the top on that video. Everyone knows the only thing worth watching is the 15 seconds of what the video was supposed to be about. I guess people make more money off of Youtube if they get people to watch longer. That's quite a task with competition like this:

THE video shows the races from dig and roll of the tesla plaid vs a busa and a zx14 that's all the proof i need . the only bike i know "stock form" that can pull on the tesla is a H2 in a roll race . but $100,000.00 tesla cost buys alot of race bike.
