2012 headers, 2009 cans, 2006 bike
04/09/17 7:34 AM

how does I make them all work together super zx14 gods?

possible? welding required?

I have the 09 cans and the 06 bike. I know it would be ideal to get 09 headers, but a local gentleman has 2012 headers.

also, how I make 09 cans line up with 06 bike? not possible? welding? straight bolt?

Now it's 06 headers and 09 cans. So I guess i,need to get the proper gasket.

Correct. Between gen1's, early have a thicker gasket, the later models had the thin, or do I have it the other way around?

'06-'07 headers were smaller diameter tubes, thus the proportional smaller diameter at the collector. Same muffler tip diameters so those cans can swap back and forth from 2006 to your '09 and a few more models. When the headers became larger beginning in '08, the collector had a larger diameter for the cat, thus the thinner collector to muffler gasket.

I believe your setup is '06 header into '09 muffler = fatter gasket.
