Romans, I hate to say it but I'm ashamed of you. I can see Rook doing a halfazzed install but we look up to you for doing everything with great style and panache....including a mundane battery installation. When warmer weather comes I expect a full factory looking redo with supporting pictures!
ROFL, do not worry, I have not gone into the light. I will Never Ever become a butcher. I will have a proper tray by spring, but this was dame Easy and to hard to ignore so I talked myself into it. May even keep it.
Lets face it, what's the job of the Battery tray
Hold Battery solid in place; Done.
I also wanted to place the Batt as far back(was centered before)in the tray as possible so under hard starts there is Zero room to slam back; Done
Also needed more room 4 relays; Done.
Use the Lightest method me wee brain could think of; Done.
Ok, so it looks like a big marshmellow = So what. Can't believe I just said that. No one can see it right ?
You guys won't tell = All Good.
I was worried before, Not Now. Solid.
Now that we can shed half an ounce by omitting the cover, I'm starting to admire the tape method.
It's not crude; it's.....................
direct!and can easily be converted back to stock.
Convert back in Minutes. No rocket science here, sometimes the simplest ways work the best. Any body can install Glass tape. Keep In Mind, Not All Glass Tape Is The Same.
Here the weight of what is no longer used. I lost track of how much foam was removed and how much it weighed.
