The legal thing, weird that those tracer lights are illegal. I guess you take a risk, because you never know if you get an "A#####e" cop (I don't mean awesome). I am going to install em, don't really care, I don't intend to tail gate behind the POPO or stick around when they get eager to pull me over. However, that said, you never know what is going to attract negative cop attention...

Extremly bright might not fit in a socket.

You don't need anymore tickets, dude! 3 km/h more and you would have been in a whole world of hurt. Don't pay it. Book a court date, request disclosure and see what the officer put in his notes and build a case from there.

Worst case scenario, you go to court, cop shows up and you make a deal with the prosecutor. Pay a smaller fine and be on your way.

Best case scenario, cops doesn't show and you walk out with a huge grin on your face.
