BTW, the "brown stuff" is dirt, mud from his paws...my back yard at this time of year is mostly dead grass, dirt and rocks. the dogs have a kiddie pool in the back yard that they play in and when their paws get wet, the dirt turns to mud as it sticks to their paws.. here is a pic i just took...

I would grant the dog did it, but your pictures are not full side pictures, with too much darkness and shadows.

Trying to hide something? LOL.

Light it up, full side pictures. Both sides.

I have a tail case (shown in the pic, easy on/off) I think the red wire is to power the led lights on the rear of the case. I am not certain as a company called twistedthrottle did the install

Well, I still say it's all dog. I don't think he wrecked her at all. That's a nice looking seat, btw. Which one is that and what was the longest trip you took on her?

The stock seat was a pain in the azz...a 50 mile seat and my bones were killing me...the seat you see is a sargent zx14 seat...comfy..I have gone 500 miles in a day with no pain in the azz. it was not cheap close to 500 from what I remember but it offers all the support one needs for doing distance

I think 9sec has proven his case too; oh no wait I want to hear from your witnesses. Call the other two dogs to the stand, they had to be in on it! - lol. Damn, what did you do to the dog prior to the bike attack! Was this premeditated or a knee jerk reaction. That's some revengeful type shtt especially if the dog(s) never touch your bike before. This case is adjourned and must be thrown out because we will never know the reason for this attack. 9sec, you can only move forward so just concentrate on getting her back on the street again.

Good lookin' dogs, 9.

Damage doesn't look too bad. Shouldn't take much to get'er back on the road.

I had a Retriever mix when I was a teenager. That dog chewed up everything! One time she tore a 6'x4' patch of siding off of my Mom's house. She was so pissed off she made me find the dog a new home... two years later, that dog found her way back! The new owner had moved and abandoned her... thing is they lived 30 miles away! That was one tough bitch!

I see the scratch marks....I'm convinced .

But......I want to see a dog remove that battery cover with such ease.Without damaging the foreman. He's quite skilled as Hub pointed out...was able to stick a pointed tool into that left side connector and free those prongs from their casings.Awesome!

Geez...I forgot...there were three dogs out there...the other one held the connector for the one .

Okay....now,if your dogs did this to your bike, and you keep er sitting outside,...what will you do with your dogs now? What would a thief want you to do?(hint:keep them locked in the house).Make sense?

What the hel* do I know anyway! It just LOOKS suspicious to me.You know, with those tasty brake lines on there,Nice fat tires.Seems such a waste of time for the dog to go after the ELECTRICALS like he did ..but then,I guess,it COULD be dogs chewing it up.

And it aint "chirp chirp"...it's more like SKREECH<SKREECH!!!!Friggin louder than ,well, you know!

I'm still intrigued....HOW did he get that battery cover off and out of there WITHOUT damaging the midfairing piece that rides over the forward corner of it.And snap that cover so nicely underneath the foreman without damaging THAT part. The attachment bolt's up at the top end.He managed to lever that cover against the foreman? And break it off with his teeth?I didn't see any teeth marks on the cover shot there...the broken one.How would he get it to bend and snap NOT USING HIS TEETH?I noticed those scratches are strangely close to the front attachment bolt of the grill. That's one sharp Retriever alright! He caught a bird...next,hotwire yer ride.WEEEEEEE!!

Nevermind.

I get a knock at the door. A little girl is holding a bag of cookies. Daddy is holding peanut butter cookies. The dog rushes in the door, spins around, hugs up against my leg and now looks out the door at them. I close the door and said, "Goodbye now!"

He is so pissed that dogravitates to me since it was a pup. Talk about a memory. Yeah, so this was the buttering up for more dog sitting sometime down the road.

9sec, I tried to work a mistrial for you but Hub and Blue have brought overwhelming evidence to reopen this case. They're going CSI style on you. Will you tell the truth...the whole truth...and nothing but the truth? lol

I can't imagine ANYONE doing this to their ride.So I think 9seconds is being on the level when he says the dogs did it.I didn't think anyone could hotwire and ride away with a locked front fork on my 2000 Heritage softail either...but they did.So just HOW did they manage to get past the fork lock....hhhmmmmm......homemade barrel key?Maybe the SAME one they used to get the ignition to turn?I noticed one day...that fork lock thing...had a serious scratch across it.It's hardened steel. You can't "just scratch" that thing with any type of "key".I never did anything to that lock.Never touched it except to put my barrel key in it to lock/unlock.I thought at the time.."this is weird.how the hell did I scratch that?"Truth is...I didn't.But someone else did.As I found out later. When I heard my bike being ridden balls out away from my shed...and gone! It's quite a story this one.And honestly, virtually unbelievable to the average Joe.There's some slippery snakes out there, that's all I'm sayin.

9 said it was in the walkway or something like that.Ya...mine was sitting RIGHT UNDER MY LIVINGROOM WINDOW(shades were drawn...it was night) in the driveway. So they had to somehow unlock the forks, then BACK the bike out to the street, and start it with NO second attempt....first starter try...that was it.They were gone.HOW does that happen without some sort of key involved?Especially when they had no way of knowing IF someone right there would be walking around...as people did there.

I asked my neighbor across the way if he saw anything....this was like at 2 in the morning. His response?"yeah,I saw 'someone' in black, with a black helmet ride off"...nice.Kinda ruined the whole "harley thing" for me.Got paid from the insurance...got my first Sportbike...zzr1200.It all worked out JUST FINE!!!

Okay...okay...THIS is what happened.Lowly mouse climbed up in there to stay warm.Fine.No prob.EXCEPT,that big azz dog aint diggin it.So he tries to nail that mouse.Only problem...the friggin thing keeps runnin back and forth across the rear portion of the engine there.Got that battery case to hide next to.At one point, yer Samson gets the move on im,chases im up into the foreman there...towards the Radiator.Mouse aint havin no part of THAT dead end.Turns back, gets wedged in there, finally escaping out the belly fairing opening at the pipes.Case closed...mouse wins...9 seconds has a confirmed loyal partner...Samson.Who went to extreme lengths to keep his master's bike safe!I'm diggin it...very cool. It's the classic American Love story .

THAT makes a helluva lot more sense than what I said BEFORE.NOBODY could be THAT friggin stupid about hotwirin a bike.Except me...I wouldn't know the first thing about tryin somethin like that...and THAT's the TRUTH

Poor guy gets his bike messed up, and then has to defend himself.
I had a doberman that had to be locked inside because of a cast on his leg from surgery. He wanted out so bad, he chewed the doorknob completely off a steel door.
My great dane is a rescue dog that got beaten up by his last owner. Guy said the dog did $10,000 damage to his house trying to get a cat in the back yard. Tore up a couch, carpet in 2 rooms, 2 walls, and smashed through a sliding glass door to get out. Happy outside dog now.
Sounds like your dog was jealous of the 14. You never waxed his coat, lubed his chain, and then rode him for hours like that!
Seriously, take off the damaged body parts one at a time, and somebody here will post a pic of the wiring. Then just repair, and replace. By spring she'll be back to normal.
