Romans-thanks for the reply post. Seems like what you are saying is correct. Not sure how I feel about that, but looks accurate. I usually pay VERY close attention to these things, but guess after the first users started fitting the CT's to their 14R's, I made an assumption that a new header pipe was designed and fitted. However if the smaller diameter header pipe is responsible for preventing low end torque loss while maintaining high HP numbers as well up top, sounds perfect to me.
Still will be a bit odd when/if Brock introduces new header systems for the 2012 14R with ample R&D for those that shelled out a couple of grand for the pre 12 system.
Also interesting on the links you provided, under 14R only products listed are the Brock/Hindle stuff with no mention of the CT's. Only when you go to the exhaust systems link are you shown the CT's with a 06-12 designation so what you say makes sense.
The CT pipe are not made in house, I'm sure you know. They are, (and I can't think of their name), Japanese made and imported. No relation to Hindle. I still think they are the best looking mufflers on the market.
So you are looking for max HP top end in your wait and search, correct? Would you expect to sacrifice some low end to get that?

Yes, looking 4 Max hp. Some loss down low is expected but I'm sure I would never notice as we can't use it all now lol She is a Beast. Also, once the bike is geared it becomes a total none issue.

Yikes, maybe with that being said he wouldn't bring the CT in with a 2-1/4. Maybe a linching if that happens ??????
Vmatti, what is that honey comb piece. Small cat ? is it used or tossed ?

Ok lets see if I can say this right, short stacks bottom end, long stacks top end, long mid pipe muffler combo = bottom mid power ,short mid muffler =top end power,I usually get this bass ackwards as I use to build sub woofers for a hobby, long port tube low frequency tuning,Hub want your imput, cant talk to Pops Yoshimura, think I'll go have another japanese beer so that I can talk to Pops,Oh yeah back pressure is directly proportionate too the amount of beer consumed and the diameter of the rectal opening, that is how one tunes a fart

Yep, short stacks for big top end, Tall stacks more bottom. Mixed stacks hard to explain.

@Romans: Yep, it's an additional/optional cat. I didn't install it, surprise.
BTW: EU model has another cat in Y-pipe (collector in header). I understood that US model has not any cat in stock header, right?
Gorgeous pipes Vmatti!
Thanks Jagman.
Just need to get rid of noise killers but the bolts are welded (lightly) in the factory and that's why they were so tight to open ;)
EU rules are coming more foolish day by day :D

I hope what I say is not going to piss off a lot of people. Ever since I had my first kawasaki GPz1100, I had an aftermarket exhaust on the bike within 2 months. I loved the sound these pipes made, and always felt the pipes made the bike feel stronger. People puts on aftermarket pipes because the look/sound good, and not always for the numbers they produce. I put on a Yoshi R55 for the looks and sound. Lets say it now puts out 199 Hp for argument's sake. Another guy buys a Brocks alienhead II, and it produces 205 Hp. I weigh 140Kg, and he weighs 80Kg, and we decide to have a race.
Logics tell me he will outperform me based on weight alone. Must I now go to Turbo/Supersharger? No!!!! We all love our bikes, we all love blinging them to make them look call for ourselves, and we all feel a little bit of envy if somebody else did something we did not think about. Unless you are a dragracer, or somebody that MUST be the fastest, rather enjoy your ZX14, and all the other guys who loves them as well. I love the conversations we have on all the different topics, but it must never spill into arguments, and bad mouthing of products that somebody else felt was good enough for him to fit to his bike.
You like it, you buy it, you fit it, you ride it!!!

Boffin, maybe I missed something, but no one was bad mouthing product on this thread, actually quite the oppposite.Akra,Yosh,Hindle all have good products.I am pro Hindle, had a Hindle pipe in 1973 on a Z1.If he didn't make a good product I would have another brand.

Hey Rick, how are liking the new scooter so far?
Only road it 200 Kilo. I was hard on it. First impression is Good. Love it. Impressed that she picks the front wheel up in third.
Magic = how light it feels. How did they do that lol, Really, I was in shock with that one, it's a Big Wow. The Biggest thus far
Brakes don't feel as good as the old ones but they are not bedded in yet or maybe it's just the extra weight I'm not used to(stock cans still on). Stopping seemed to take longer. Jury still out on that one.
Charging system must be upgraded(is it ?) as she was putting out much higher on the volt meter compared to the Gen1.
Shocks were a definite upgrade. Much Nicer.
Gas mileage seems to be up,, is it ?
Green color turns heads every where. Eye Candy.
Need more seat time. Bike Night tonight maybe I'll take her out on the town,,,,,, I just hate the pipes lol.

Gas mileage don't know, thinking maybe 10% better,I thought the brakes are better, but I know my 07 was due for pads, low speed handling definitely better, putted thru shops on don mills, normal speeds my 07 was better, probably due to the BST's.The seats better and seems to be improving with mileage.Ordered a ballistic battery from Riders choice.Going to put the 14R battery in the 07.If and when I race the 07 I think the 07 will win even if I can beat her, just respect for an old girlfriend. As far as colour goes I'm still partial to the 07 silver. When I look at the 07 front fairing I think some descrete pin stripping would be awesome.I'm going to swap out the meg and mid pipe for a I'm in a bad mood day ride
