Nice bike beast, why the sudden change from the 14?

Sold the 14 because I figured I'd either be dead or have my license vapourised.
Actually, I was trying to work out a deal on a 2012 14r, but that deal fell through, and my beloved red 14 was already sold. So, had to pull the trigger on something and I must say I've always been a fan of naked bikes. The Beemer just looks so Mad Max - It's mean, and BEASTLY, and I love it. The power is surprising for sure. Didn't think it would do as well as it did against the 14r. It definately has some midrange stonk that's for sure. It is about 6" longer than the 14 too. Makes launching it out of the hole easier for sure. Not used to being able to hear the engine at all so it's a little different (will rectify that soon), but the engine does make an intoxicating intake roar. All in all I give props to Kawi though - the 14 gives up nothing in refinement to the bmw. Kawasaki sure made an excellent product with the 14 and 14r.

Nope, truly love naked bikes.... I don't think the S looks good imo.
I like the mean styling of the R, plus it's got better gearing for better acceleration on the "S" model.
2.91 vs 2.82 for the S

Now just saving a couple hundred bucks more and I'll be putting the quick shifter on it.

Oh and Romans, we can do one 0 to 240 and see who's on top?

No I did not. The 1300 r ripped along side and gained, now when I opened up above 240 kph I had em, but up till 240 stock the 1300 r will eat the 14 r. Remember too I am 240 and Beast is 175 and our bikes are of different weight. But let's face it those Germans have this bike sorted. I am impressed and also very happy my boy has such a ceme de la creme bike. PS I was pushing em to buy it. In the end with the mods that are coming I am confident I can eat the BMW. But stock to stock the 14 and the BMW are equally matched! Trust me this bike is no slouch!

And by this bike ie no slouch, I refer to the bmw 1300r.

The k1300r naked is geared more aggressively for better acceleration than the k1300s.
The "S" has a higher top speed. Mine is a brick, but it cooks till about 240ish...
I read somewhere that with a pro rider 9.7's are possible.
That being said... I am surely no pro rider - but as long as I can 'keep up' with Wolf, then I am happy

I know my 14 will ring into 290 so that 30km gap can only appear in a straight line 1km drag race (which never happens) so as I posted above it has the prowless to embarass the 14.
