Thank You Black....Mom's coming home Friday...gonna be the biggest challenge of my life...but it has to work...it just has to.I'm healing up....feels like my body is gonna be okay.Enough anyway to be here for my Mom.That's everything.Thanks again for the kind words.Means a helluva lot to me.I'm not pissing as much blood as I have been...so I believe God is being very good to me.I'm not so worried about that now.This all has to work....all of it.I'm trusting it will.

hey Grn, just catching up on this now and very sorry to hear of your off!
glad your ok man!
ive had a couple of spills but always on track with relatively minor injuries so ive been lucky!
i remember finishing the cannonball run last year and breathing a huge sigh of relief that i actually survived it! some of the riding we were doing on those roads was just insane.....would i do it again? yes....im a biker, its what we do!
the buzz is that element of danger, its the test pilot in us that drives us to do this type of riding.
im sure in some of us it eventually wears off and then we buy a harley lol
happy to hear you have another 14 on order, thats the test pilot in you!
take care man, best of luck to you and your mom!

It always does, Grn. You know that. Your faith always brings you through.

"He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

...try not to lift your Mom too much...for your kidney's sake. Turn her every 45 minutes. Roll her a bit to one side and prop with a pillow. Keep the heels elevated so they do not drag. Basically just try to keep Mom's boney parts from pressing against the bed/chair. Heels, hips, lower buttocks, sacrum are most vulnerable. PM me if you need any advice....been caring for old folks for a little while.

Yep, jafo's post above made me want to get out and do a rough ride today but it rained and that, unfortunately puts a stop to any riding especially this time of year.

have a couple hair raising jumps back in my home town right above the GF house on the hill. I might post her with a camera and do some flying one of these days soon....at least get the front off the ground....I'll try it, anyway. should be no problem to get at least the front on the air as kids used to get air off of that in their cars (or their parents cars) back in HS. We're talking steep ramp here. They had to carve a chunk of hillside out for the cross street to pass. You could jump right over if you had big enough balls...which I do not but I'll take a little shot at about anything....

....well, let me have a look at it anyway

Me and Hadrid were riding awhile back.There is this downward dip so I shifted to second.When I hit the edge I just grabbed the go stick and that bike jumped and rode dowm the dip straight up and down.I'm surpised Hadrid didn't hear me screaming.Won't be doing that anytime soon and yes I backed out of it before things go too hairy.Amazing what you can get away with sometimes.

I been accused of being a tad crazy.Had this girl on the back on a Z-1 wiith dragbars and open header.Was trying to be nice until she said "I been on Harleys faster than this".Powershifted it to first front end just flys up,her feet go over my helmet.Shes screaming and I brought it back down thinking he he.Stopped where my buddy was with his H-1.She gets off crying saying he's a fhj asshole.No more rides.Dude said what did you do to her.I was crazy.These sidewalks in Tacoma had wheelchair access.I used to ride on them about a hundred passing the H-1.I was 19 and just out of my mind crazy.Glad I settled down.

Sorry to hear the news Grn. Been there, just different situation. I "lost" 6 days between the ambulance ride and waking up in ICU. Things happen.
I know how this can change your life even after you're "healed up". 10 months later I still can't sleep more than 3 hours at night. I'm at the point where daily functioning is becoming too difficult at times due simply to lack of sleep.
Hope you're OK in time. Just do what you have to do and get well. Hope you keep riding. I admit to being a little spooked and I believe it's permanent but I'm riding. I even plan to go back up to the Death Valley area and do the same ride soon. Not to prove something but because I just love the ride. I do plan to alter the ride a little and probably will go home a slightly different route so I don't have to see that corner again. I was never on that road before but I believe I'd remember the corner if I saw it again. Not superstitious or anything but maybe it's best we don't see each other again if you know what I mean.
Take care Grn.

Ya...I hear ya...IF I do end up going that way again...you can bet...it's gonna be 30MPH.I just have been really lucky as far as riding and pushing things go...that's done now for me....MAYBE...100...in VERY selected areas...but this fast azz cornering and stuff...nah....I'm done with that.Definitely a wake up call for me personally.

I mentioned before...before this ever happened...that riding this 14R at legal speeds actually was a LOT of fun....too bad I didn't pay attention to that when this happened.SOS....push push push.Boom!

Grn glad your doing better.I just had breakfast.Feels weird being naked with just a gown on.They have to come in every couple hours to check my groin where they stuck the cath in.M0ost of my time here has been a blur.They gave ma a valium and benedral to relax me and then shot me up with something before the procedure.Been in and out all day yesterday.But I feel great today.They said if the found blockage or a bad valve then I would of had emergency open heart surgery.I was scared.But I'm glad I stayed.Hope I get out today cause my CF ram air covers are coming by UPS late in the day.

Great news!I'm happy you stayed around also.Best to find out sooner than later on somethin as serious as that.If you DID have a heart attack....minimal damage is what ya want(well...you know what I mean anyway).They can find that real quick with a couple of scans.Glad everything is okay with ya!You'll be out and about soon...your Ninja awaits!

My DR. told me I'm 'runnin on 7 cylinders'...pretty much okay...but a slight amount of heart damage.....nothing that'll interfere with me being up and about.They were able to get me unplugged before things went totally south...although it did take 12 hours to 'bring me back' and stabilize me when I had my attack.Died 3 times during their ICU work on me.That was the worst...those shock paddles....geez...imagine someone shooting you point blank in the chest with a shotgun.From darkness and unconsciousness to ripping slamming force waking you up.Scarey to say the least.3rd time...I was very ready to just say 'screw it...let me go'.But I couldn't talk with those tubes in my throat!Felt like they were tryin to suffocate me!...hell with the heart attack!LOL!

@Craig:

Somehow it slipped by me that you're in the hospital, too.

I'm really glad that you dont need open heart surgury. Really glad...

You get well soon, I'm sending lots of care your way.

@Grn:

Yay! That's such great news! No more bleeding! Yay, that's teriffic! Now, dont screw it up by trying too much too soon, you listen to that Quack, and you'll be right healed up before ya know it. Much care to you, too.
