Time for our annual mountain trip! We will be leaving the Raleigh, N.C. area on Wednesday (6/11) and staying in Maggie Valley til Sunday (6/15). Plan on spending 2 days burning up the local roads, and 2 days sight seeing and taking pictures. Just a bump to bring this back to the top. Looking at about 5 weeks out.

Well, I rode a total of 1,385 miles during our trip. We stayed in Maggie Valley, N.C. and rode out about 240-300 miles each day (depending on which direction the rain was in). I decided to take the M109 so that I could do more cruising this time and take some photos. I still got a chance to tear it up on the dragon tho.

I'm curious, how much these people charge for pics?

I was able to download this low image proof for free. But if you would like a high definition image as a download, it is around $7 I think. I figured I might purchase one and then have it put on a T-Shirt. That is better than spending the money to put someone elses image on my shirt. I did the same thing years ago when I had my Mustang at a motor car event at VIR (Virginia International Raceway). That was one of those times that I wish the bike had more clearance.

I'm buying a new 14R with long interstate rides in mind. I should have my bike in a few weeks and will be thinking of a trip after the break in. I'm very interested in Deal's Gap because I live north of there, up 81 and near DC but west, Berkeley Springs WV.

There is also another destination ride, called "Back of the Dragon" from Marion to Tazewell VA, closer to me and on the way toward NC in the south.

I could check both out in one long weekend perhaps.
