Has anyone installed Brock's Clutch Spring kit for the 14r? If so could you see an upgrade in performance?

Hey Romans
I'm about to do this mod, is there anything particular that I need be aware of when doing this mod? I have the oil drained at this point already. Also in the service manual it calls for (Sealant - Kawasaki Bond (Silicone Sealant): 92104-0004) Is there a substitute?

Did you have to drain your oil or replace the cover gasket to complete the job?
No I did not drain the oil. Lean over on the kick stand was enough. I got away without a gasket change and I used no sealant. Zero leaks both bikes.

With my set up(pushing all 5 beefy springs in at once)I had a hard time getting bolts started with the new stiffer springs. Having two longer bolts close by would have helped. Had I know that would have saved me some grief. As it was I had to go buy them in order to start the threads on all the other bolts. Once sucked in you can removed the two longer bolts and re install stock hardware. This won't apply to your stock set up but may play a role later on with your mods. Staying stock A hard push one at a time should cover it(don't push bike over). Hope this helps, Cheers.

Okay I'll pick some up today since there is not a single cycle shop that has that gasket in stock within 60mi of me. And I want to ride this weekend!!

Ok, last night I went ahead and pulled the cover and fortunately the gasket is intact and is stuck to the clutch cover. Now, will I need to add that locktite 515 to the clutch housing. After I clean the surface of the clutch housing.

Brock doesn't sale a whole clutch kit for the 06-11 zx14, just the springs. I just installed mines last nite and it's pretty simple procedure, my advice would be to make sure you have a replacement gasket in the event that you destroy your gasket when removing the clutch cover. I haven't tested it yet, awaiting for new oil filter SO I can't comment on it yet.

According to Brock for the type riding you do, the OEM plates will be fine used with Brock's clutch springs.

Just use the springs w/o spacers P/N #270292. This was suggested to me by Brock for are year bikes.

Okay, I was able to test out the bike with the new spring and man, it is a much smoother & quicker engagement I definitely recommended this mod.
