I currently have Sidi B2. They on lower end of price scale of Sidi boots, offering some of the top end features, as the ankle and rear vertebra style protection. Very light and comfortable.

I have the A-Stars SMX plus and absoulutely love them. I was in a low side while wearing them (35-40 mph) and they held up great still wearing them today. They are light weight, great ankle protection, replaceable toe sliders, which mine are due for some newones. They are squeeky when you walk in them but very comfortable on the bike and easy to put on and take off.

I have the SMX-4 which is a good boot but really racey, and SMX-1 a above the ankle boot.
Good also but time consuming to put on and off . the 4's are not practical for everyday riding and restrictive for all day walking.
I however really like my Thor 50/50 boots, they are popular with the 50 mini riders, but they have two side snaps for easy on and off, very comfortable and durable. I have spent many days walking in them.
I have had mine for 1 1/2 years now and wear them with jeans and no one has ever commented on them.
I think safety and comfort, feet are hard to replace !

You guys are lucky! I've tried on a dozen different boots, and can't find one that fits, let alone comfortable and protective. I've always worn military style boots (Rocky/Magnum) and decided it's time to get better boots. AStars are perfect for my foot, but the ankles were so tight I couldn't even zip them up. Sidi are WAY too tight, and Sidi WayMega (wide) boots are so loose my heel would slide up and down with no resistence. I can't remember the others, there's been so many. I have a size 13 wide foot, but regular boots (military/work/casual/hiker) all fit perfectly! What's the deal with Motorcycle boots?

I've been using the ICON Accelerator for the last year and a half and so far I'm pleased. I can wear them all day with jeans when I ride to work without looking like I forgot to take off part of my TRON costume.
I like the protection that they offer but for club rides I want something that protects a little farther up my leg. Does anyone use Frank Thomas boots? I looked at some at Cycle Gear and they seem OK. I hate to drop a too much on something that I don't get to use alot.

I was going to order Sidi Vertigo Air's but the sales guy talked me into a pair of A* SMX-Plus boots for the same price.
He pointed out that the Vertigo's have no form of rigid ankle support, and that the top half of the boot can literally be bent in half at the ankle. The SMX-Plus have a rigid frame inside and cannot be bent. I've put about 4,000mi in with the SMX-Plus boots and I'm very happy with them. The peg feel is EXCELLENT, but as far as getting off and walking around for an extended period of time... these boots were made for riding I'll just leave it at that.
The ventilation works great, I fell air on my toes when I angle them down just right and if I cup the arch of my foot I can even get some air in there as well. I've ridden in the rain a few times with them and had no issues with soaked feet or anything, but it was under an hour at the most in the wet.
