I don't think this impact Pirelli tires much in terms of quality. Just like Volvo acquired by a Chinese company and Jaguar/Land Rover by Indian company. They provide $$ but don't say much about how products are made (they can't as they don't know how). Once the Chinese company decides to manufacturer Pirelli tires exclusively in China, then our problems would begin.

I'm starting to have confidence in parts made throughout Asia. Overall, my luck with aftermarket parts has been quite good. and cheap. If Pirellis were made in China, they would become one of the least expensive tires out there. I think this is one product that benefits from perceived value. They are great tires but if they were cheap, would we still have faith in them?

Will they now be "Pilelli?"

No. I think that's properly pronouced, "Pilerri".
