My son and I went for a ride today and we did a bike swap for about 15 miles, his CBR is a monster.
The electronic mods and gearing change he did turned it into a beast that is quicker than my ZX-14.
When I got back on my ZX-14 it felt like a big comfortable plush riding cruiser.

If your not willing to mod your bike or buy a gen2 then please for the love of god sell your fucking bike and go away. Your son spent the money and spent the time working on his bike and you haven't, until you do you'll just be holding his balls for him as he continues to kick your ass.

wfozx14, I wasn't dogging on the 14, it's fast enough and way more comfy than his CBR.

Silverback61 Do not upgrade the zx14! Do not buy the H2 do not buy anything that Kawasaki builds! Sell your polished XXXX of a bike for whatever you can get for it and please find another forum. I like my 09 zx14, I know it's not the fastest, lightest, best handling bike out there but it is mine. I don't care to keep reading posts about what or who just handed you your a$$ on any type of competition. You can either upgrade like so many people offered advice to you or just accept it. I really am not trying to tell you what to do (like others on this site also trying to help) but I guess I am.

Wouldn't you think Silver is more like a field tester? Why ask him to leave if he has a certain input like he wants a bike to beat the pants off of the tiny rippers. So if it's lounge chair like riding, maybe he has a different input or the same old input who cares.

Thanks for the picture Hub.. I was starting to wonder. "Field tester" yes and no. This is my personal opinion and I do spend a great deal of time on this site since my own purchase. If you are requesting advice and receive good advice, use it. Don't keep coming back with "I got beat with that bike or that car bla bla bla". Accept it and move on. We race at the 1/4 track and I am sure that if I requested what information but never used that advice people would get sick of my ramblings also. To me, if I read I got my ass handed to me but put in the mods you guys told me about then I kicked his ass it would mean more to me and I use would use that information to further my own success. Silver, really not putting you down.

The best all around bike I have owned would be between the 2003 BMW K1200RS or this 2008 ZX-14.
The nod going to the Beemer for more comfort, cruise control, and heated grips.

No, I have suspected this all along. I said something to this effect, and I think he posted one or two pics that I guess prove he does own one. Of course, random pics of people's 14 with "my son's bikes" could be had from anywhere.

He has to be "jaggin our wires".
It just can't be anything else...

I have one, and it's a fine machine, but it's the first preowned bike I have ever purchased.
The fact that it's used just bothers me. It's my first and last used motorcycle.
