Finally Rode It
10/16/20 9:06 PM

I have a 2008 blue 14 that just turned 5500 miles. I bought it used with 300 mile at the end of 2008 because I wanted a 14 and loved the color. Made it an old mans cruiser with a LSL bar kit, Concourse seat and lowered pegs. Enuf add ons to get 180 at the wheel and it loves this cooler weather. I did a 2nd gear downshift at 100 indicated and next thing I know the front starts a slow lift then the side wind catches me then to the next lane I go so shift to 3d where the front sit down and keep going.

I fergetted that these things kinda like the upper rpm and is a lot different from my FJR which is the main ride.

I gotted a little excited about it

Yes Mr Chrly it is easy to forget but quick to remember. It amazes me how smooth these things are as going down the hiway it is smoother than my FJR and the 2 BMW's that I had. The computer is flashed but the only difference is the secondaries open real fast then fun time. Also has a PC5 but the tune changed after the full Leo Vince went on and it idles with a gurgle and small low rpm dead spot. No longer smooth like it was before the pipe. It is still fun to ride and next year in the summer is when it will get dyno tuned for the pipe. Still way fun to ride.

Most of the action I see is in low speed corners and when I get in the groove near the end of summer, I get the front off the ground coming out of a corner. The coolest feeling the world is to be leaned over on one wheel.

A 45 tooth rear sprocket livens up the whole power band.

I don't ride it enuf to do gear changes which means I have been spoiled with the FJR. I was out on a Vulcan 650S today and it felt like a scooter to what I am used to riding.
