KR Exhaust

Anyone got any info on the Kenny Roberts Slip-on exhaust? I have an '06 and want the triangular canisters. It seems everyone makes them for "08 and up, but not the "06 - "07. They claim they are tuned to the bike.

The KR tuned claim seems to be a little far fetched IMHO, all their slip on cans are the same, they are just using different intermediate pipes for the different applications. I dont know of anybody who has them yet, but they look pretty good in the photographs ive seen.

I just mounted a pair on my bike. They were supposed to be for '08 > but the mid pipe was too small. Seemed to be the size to fit an '06-'07 headder. I had to get some flaired ends and weld them on. I love the sound, with or without the baffle in. Very civilized with it in. Can't comment on power change since I've only done a 15 min. test ride. I'll post some pix soon.
Kawi's stock midpipes are the same, with different thicknesses of gaskets at the headder connections. The '06 headder is not as large of a diameter as the '08>. I don't think you need to worry about the connection it should slip right on. At worst you'll need a gasket. I made my flared ends large enough to use a gstock '08 gasket because it's a little forgiving as far as alignment.
I'll be riding again after I change the oil tomorrow. I'll have more to say then...

From some test that read that tested allkinds of bikes with quite a few pipe makers for the 14 the KR slip-on made as much power on the dyno as a full pipe 4 in to 1, They made like 11hp 2or3 Tq everyone else's slip ons made 4-7hp I would love to try them but got a steal on some 2bros off ebay and I mean steal 200.00 shipped they sound awsome abit on the loud side as the rider but not loud at all as they pass you by they made 4-7hp depending on who's dyno chart you read good luck with the pipes HEY SHARKEY what made you change the muzzy,s just wondering I WAS JUST PLAIN WRONG ABOUT THE KR SLIP-ONS THEY MADE NUBBERS MUCH DIFFERENT THAN I STATED ABOVE SORRY GUYS I'LL READ CLOSER NEXT TIME

It was a deal on e-bay...$500 for what list for $1495. I'd heard good things about them so I thought I'd try em.
Nothing wrong with the Muzzys, they're sitting on my parts shelves. I like to save parts for when a salvage deal comes along. I enjoy wrenching on bikes as much as riding them...well, what I mean is I enjoy making mods or repairs and then riding the improved product. My wife just about had a cow when I brought the new 14 home and the first thing I did was start taking it apart.
