Leather Riding Pants
03/03/10 11:52 AM

Hey Fellas, Just wondering if anyone has tried the follow pants.... Joe Rocket-Pro Street, Alpinestar-Vtwin, Shift-Havoc, or the Icon Automag overpant.... I am leaning towards the Shift Havoc, I tried on a pair but they only had a 34 in and it was a bit snug but felt like a great pant (hybrid 70%leather and 30 textile), I also tried on the Automag and they fit good but were a bit bulky..... haven't tried the Joe Rockets or the Alpine star, mainly cause the alpine stars are $380 chuh ching!!! I definately want something for over the boot, and do not want a the track style leather pants. I want something that gives me superior protection to jeans, but something I can sit down and have lunch in and not be, uncomforatable or gawked at!!!

If anyone has tried any of these lemme know or if you know of any other similar products from other companies, they should have at the least knee pads...... Thanks boys!!! And girls if we have any!!!

good for you man the Joe Rocket-Pro Streets are good quality and pretty comfy to boot. The armour is not Alpinestars type quality but over all I love them.I also have a pair of Spidi over the boot pants that cost a little more than the Rockets but work better in the heat. Spidi Pants

The standing up straight fit means nothing. Sit on a bike with the pants on and it will be a whole diff story. I feel it's best to have a lot of extra length in the leg for sport riding position. If you have thick knee armor, that along with bending your knees will pull the ankle cuff up 4" when you are in the riding position.
