Hey Kruz congrats man!!! I love the look of that bike! My bike issue is killing me to! I fell in love with the V twins after buying my Super Duke and I wound up ordering a Ducati 1299S Pinigale Anniversaro as soon as I saw the photos. It was love at first sight and I had to..... PS married 23 years two kids and I ride in the expert group. LOL no worries live and enjoy! Cheers man!

New 10R and Cruz already has 5 bikes, a new Ducaci and SumFun has 6 other bikes and an H2 too ..... you two are killing me here! Shit, I need a bigger garage before I can even think of sneakin in a another.

Well I barely find enough time to ride the big ZX ... and it's currently having to live in a real piece of shiz of a barn ... roof leaks, squirrels live in some nooks, birds, etc. So no more bikes for me ... anytime soon. But you guys are definitely rockin' 'em. Fun to watch the show.

I don't feel so bad now Somefun, looks like you have a garage full also. I looked really hard at that 1290R Superduke too but went with the 959 Panigale after much soul searching. Let me know how that 1299S works out for you, six months in and I'm still playing around with the suspension settings on the 959, the new ZX-10R was dialed in right out of the box.

Somefun, looking at that photo, does that come stock with an Akra exhaust?

I left the stock exhaust alone on my 959, it's super loud right out of the crate and the only real option is the Termignoni which costs about 25% of the bike...lol!

Kruz the Super Duke is fantastic!! LOVE that bike. I ride that one mostly for work and shorter rides like 150 to 200 miles. Very comfortable for sure. Not great on long highway ride because of the naked deal but she's like a dirt bike with a big block! lol The AKR does come standard on the 1299S Anniversaro. The bike comes with the stock slip on and then the dealer installs the AKR and loads the race fuel map due to emission regs. I did order the titanium header just to complete it. But other than that I'm looking forward to the active suspension for sure. I know for the track the manual is better but that's where my ZX10R comes in. She's my dedicated track bike complete with front & rear Ohlins.

PS the wife is very understanding for sure but working hard for the income for me is also key. lol

Just came back from a blast in the twisties on the new ZX-10R and I can tell you this is one great machine! I pulled about 6 pounds of junk off the bike last night, reflectors, chain guard, tool kit, curb feelers, passenger footpegs etc., etc. and dialed in the suspension per Road Racing World and Team Kawasaki's suggestions and this bike handles like a dream! The power delivery is turbine smooth and the bike corners like it's on proverbial rails. Brake pads are bedded in now and the M50 Monoblocs are awesome, brick wall stopping power and good feel. This bike is going to be really fast once broken in and my only nit is the relative lack of low end torque. Akrapovic has a 3/4 race system that massively boosts the low and midrange so that's coming next along with a fender eliminator kit. If you're looking for a new literbike, you'd be hard pressed to do better than this.

If I come into some money, I might get one but I'd be pretty hapy with the previous gen.

You know, you're right Rook, I have my '11 setup pretty well and it's hard to split these two, at least on the backroads. I think the new'16 has greater potential on the track if both are equally setup but we're really splitting hairs. Did you get my email on inexpensive flights to Dallas? You've been threatening to come down here and help me ride all these bikes....lol!

The new 10 is a sweet ride for sure!!!! I do love my 2011 and she's set up real well but I've heard great things about that 2016 10R! Love the look of them big time.

Yes, saw your email though about coming at Thanksgiving, can't guarantee good riding weather that late in the season though. We typically get our first cold snap around then, highs in the low 70s are about the best we see that time of the year. The really good weather is starting in the next few weeks here with highs in the mid to high 80's throughout October.

Next few weeks is work. Gotta make hay while the sun shines. It's a longass summer. I've already determined I am not working a low paying job again next summer......maybe I'll just come down and stay at your place!

Well I got the call from my dealer yesterday that my new mistress came in! I went down to see her come out of the crate. All I can say is she's even better looking in person! So beautiful it's crazy....she's number 166. I'll post some pics as soon as I can. Going to pick her up the coming week when the weather gets better. I'm going to have to take a day off of work to get to know this girl for sure......

Good to hear Somefun, you are going to love this bike. I reset the suspension to Road Racing World's settings from the Sepang test and it was right on, it is a cornering animal, most agile bike I've ever ridden, beats even my ZX-6R!

Stripped all of the junk off and added the Competition Werkes tail tidy and the Yoshimura Alpha slipon last night, big improvement in looks and sound. Feels like it added a touch of midrange also with a nice snarl.

You'll find out there's not much to be had below 6000 rpm but rev it out and it is insane FAST!
