Hey guys anyone run one of these or any other nitrous kit on their bike? I going to do a top speed run this spring and I'm looking to hit the 200 MPH mark. I think I can do it without the kit but don't want to head all the way there and come home with a 195 mph time slip what do you think?

I have a kit from them that is 5 years old now and still works like the day I got it.

How much power is it tuned for? Did you have to get it dyno tuned for the NOS?

I have a 50hp shot and have picked up 11mph in the 1/4 and droped .35 off my et.
AFR is at 11.8-12.1 on my wideband Added 24% to the map to get it where its at.
Bike has only been on the dyno once and that was before I got my brocks pipe and added the spray.
It made 169hp and 101ftlbs before will get it on a dyno again but dont know when.

Have heard just one member say many of the parts need to be upgraded. Just one guy reporting that. Good idea to check into it before diving in.

It may be a good way to start playing with NOS without spending a huge $$$. My feeling is that if you decide you really like it, you might end up going top something more expensive and also a progressive controller.

Well next month I'd the month I go for the gold! I'm gonna test the kit one time on the dyno to make sure everything is right then kick it in the ass and go! If she slows at 190 I'm hitting the 40 shot and coming home with my time slip! Lol I haven't wired the kit yet but the rest is in. It looks good but it's nothing I need to use on the street by any means. She is sick fast as it is.

oh I'm sure I would find some use for it every now and then! hehehe I want that partly just for the novelty/curiosity and partly because I know I'm going to want to feel what boost is all about. Maybe I'll do a top speed run..if I have the cajones.

hey I said I'd never do most of the stuff I have done on my 14. Why not NOS?

Hope you have pics of your DynoTune setup Somefun. I'd be very interested. I would love to hollow out the passenger seat and fill under the cowl with a big bottle or three. Also those purge valves look really cool. Have to put one of those in just for effect.

Nice and neat...love how you have the bottles mounted to those handles so that they are turned in a bit nice and tight to the tail.

I'm reading that there are a few different induction paths to choose from. In air box, in ram air tube(s), anything else? What method did you choose?

I put them in the air box covers that you take off to get to the flies. That way I can put new covers on when I take the kit off and you'll never know I was in there.

I was reading a thread where something was mentioned about the superiority of ram air tube spray. does it really matter if you get a tune instead of depend on the air temp sensor to adjust AFR?

I think the tune is the better way to go with a second map that way you are not relying on the sensor to work and also I think it will be more accurate that way.

Thanks. Yea, I'd rather map for whatever nitrous setup i would have. Air temp and amount of O2 is not the same thing.

Hey guys, I'm going to be adding some nitrous next weekend. I have a PCV and Muzzy M14. The plan is to add a second map to the PCV. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Are those the 12oz bottles?

They are one pound bottle's I don't know hhow many oz. They say the two bottle are good for 25 seconds.... which is way more time than I need to make it happen...

So I was able to get the nitrous on, but I had to mount the bottle on the outside. It just wasn't going to fit under the Corbin. I am not a racer so it wasn't that important to me anyway.

Well, I tried it on the dyno with the dynojet auto tune. Unfortunately it was a bad day to run the dyno, hot, humid, and low barometric pressure. Anywho, no NO2 was 177 and with NO2 was 222.

I decided to stick with a single map and only use the nitrous when at 100% throttle, which should be an effective map once the auto tune figures out what is going on.

All in all, it's quite a rush when you press that button. For the price, you can't beat the amount of power gained.

CrazyDean how did you hook it up? What are you using for a trigger on the map and the NOS? Are you using the horn button? I have to get my wired in.....

I was right at 180 NA and 228 on a 50whp shot, and I was just fogging the air box.

I hooked up a 2 way switch on the Horn button(horn or nitrous), and then also had a micro switch on the Throttle body. So I had to be pressing the horn button AND at WOT or it wouldnt work. That way I could hit WOT and still not spray if I didnt want/need to. But also IF I let off the throttle to switch gears, it would also stop spraying, and I wouldnt have to let off the button. Or if you only wanted nitrous up until 5th gear, you could just let off the horn button, and keep it pegged WOT, and the nitrous would still shut off.

Well dyno went great! She gained 40Hp! And that was with only a 30 shot! The jest for the NOS were for 30 hp but it made a little over 40! I can imagine what it would be with the 40 shot jets in there! Lol I put the 40 rear sprocket on there cuz I'm pretty sure I will be able to pull it no problem now....

Kolk1 do you remember how much fuel you added? I think mine was like 15% on the PCV
