So, as most of you know, last November my galoot of a Dawg decided to assassinate my
left knee. Tibia plateau fracture. Had surgery and a big plate put in. I've been in PT since then working on strength and range of motion. Well, I can get my heel on the footage but can't work
the shifter yet. Knee is still swollen and my PT doctor said, in some cases it can remain
this way for up to a year. Sooo my bike sits. The other day I found a company in the UK
that makes an electric shifter. Only 1 moving part, very robust, adaptable to almost
anything. Called Flatshifters. They get really good reviews. You have 2 buttons that go on a bracket below the left handlebar. One for upshift, the other for down. You can also still
footshift the bike. Heck I think I'd get it anyway just because it sounds cool.
Ill keep you posted.
