Sorry, no pictures.
Me and my son and 3 friends went out on my regular loop just to kind of get the cobwebs off in anticipation
for my last Maddevill's Breakfast Loop next Saturday. Son and friend split off early since they had other arrangements later that day. Tim( GS1200RG) and I were heading back on Skyline, a road that at times I tend to take just a wee bit fast...ahem....
Came around a corner and SURPRISE! There is a CHP sitting on the opposite shoulder with his radar on.
I checked my mirrors and saw him pull out with his lights on. So, being the Good Citizen I am, I pulled right over.
Officer was extremely polite, introduced himself and told me I knew why I was pulled over. ( I did . I'm wayyyyy overdue for a speeding ticket) He took my info and then came back. He said " I'm going to let you off with a warning. I could tell you were within your limits but there's a lot of bicycles out today and I am concerned about their safety. Slow down a bit." I'm not sure if he is just one of the really good, professional officers or they are being careful due to how things are right now. I appreciated not getting a lecture about my riding from a non rider.
So, my day wasn't spoiled and had a good time.
Discovered that the Conti Sport Attack rear tire doesn't last very long. Had cords showing by the time I got home. I bought another one anyway and am picking the wheel up today after work.
