Okay so I have 3000 miles on my girl. Front tire seams cupped, and rear has a flat spot. Time for new shoes?

My 08 had less than 2500 miles when I bought it and the rear tire had 0% tread left and the front had about 10% left. So you did well! New tires make all the difference. I put Michelin Pilot Road 3's on my since I prefer longer tread life and better overall performance than the sticky-like-glue compounds of more aggressive tires.

The 2nd Gens come with Metzler M5's...mine did anyway.Nice tires...but I like the Angel GT's MUCH better...WAY better. You did well to pull off 6K on those...I never got anything NEAR that on Showroom tires.

Actually grn. I fibbed a little. It was 5,800. Still, not bad. I use to go way further on my R6. I went with michelin pilot power 3's because I had them on my R6 and they lastes a long time so I'm hoping to do the same on my 14.

Hi Guy's,

My feedback on the Michelin Pilot Power 3's are they are brilliant.
My riding entails the odd track day (though I haven't done a track day on the Pilot 3's yet) and mostly going away with the boys on tour.
After putting on the Pilot 3's I changed my rear after 9300kms and the guy changing the tyre said there was 500/1000kms still left on it.
I still have the original front tyre on and its had just over 11500kms but very close to being replaced now.
This all on a big powerful bike with a large bloke (110kgs)on board.
I had Pilot Pures on before these and they needed replacing (big time) after 6000kms.
We ride pretty hard when away and the grip has been superb in the dry.
I can't comment on wet weather performance as I haven't had a chance to test in the rain.
My last comment?
Great tyres for grip and lasting ability. Way better than the Pilot Pures on all levels.
Highly recommended.

I ran Pilots one time...didn't like the vague feeling I was getting from the rear.Pirellis have always been the best on my bike(s).EXCEPT for the Bridgestone 003's I had on my 07.Mileage was not too good...but for carving....most excellent.
