Hey I'm out here too. I've been playing with my stock 07 ZX14 at the drags, having a blast. Bought the bike in April, traded in the 97 ZX11D.
Yeah I'd like to talk Drag racing!

t has been really slow in here. Like the last post from 4/17 I think it was,,, just sat forever.
If it's any consolation, I went 9.92 a few weeks ago in the S.Florida heat/humidity with a 1.69 60'. No burnout, 38 psi of air in a new Pilot Road II.

There were some postings that should have been put in this section, but were put in the General ZX-14 section instead, because there was so little traffic in this section, and so much in that one. Maybe you guys posting here will help get folks to use this section more.
Hopefully, it will work itself out over time. -bg

There's a list??!!??!!
Vid... can't locate one :( my old comp is so virus'd out i can't even access the HD.
romans; i did a few things at the same time, heres a pretty decent list:
before: 161 rwhp. gutted stock cans.. pc3 and tune, pump gas.
after: 196 rwhp. brocks smeg, no air filter, pc3 and tune, MRX01 (high octane oxygenated race fuel, i'll say more later), .018 head gasket and adjustable cam gears, not sure where they were dialed in at.
The MRX01 is a high octane fuel, not really the best for naturally aspirated motors (nitrous fuel basically). for an n/a bike, its about the same as pump gas lol. With MR9, i'm pretty sure it would have easily made over 200 hp
so, theres the list. thats what it takes to make 200rwhp on motor ;)

thanks BG
rom, nothing at all. it rides and runs exactly like a stock bike, except a little faster heh heh. only leak on the bike is the back of the oil pan (seems as though i've left a bolt out at one point in time, or it fell out..)

Slow, did you use slightly shorter bolts or washers ? I have no leaks but, I hear that some guys have had problems with leaks from factory. Bolts to long and bottomed out or something like that ? If you did not change them I won't worry about it. I'm racing with a guy who is also on a zx-14, he has close to the same mods and I'm searching for more of a edge? The problem is he is 175lbs and I'm 240lbs. Right now I'm faster above 270 but by then 1/4 is long gone. All these tips for more power are awesome.

Don't really know.. I didn't pay for new bolts, so i'm assuming they are the same. (builder installed everything when he assembled the motor)
Unless you're buying race gas, use 87 pump. Thats what i've always ran, never had detonation. You want to use the lowest octane fuel you can get away with without having detonation.

My current gearing is 17F/45R (I love this ratio). I am running PC111,Ignition module, with Ivan's fuel and Ignition maps, full povic pipe, ceramic bearings, TRE006A. His set up is with Muzzy M-10 PC111 and 16F/43R. Our race is almost dead even basically who ever gets off first . I will start to pull him above 260 270. I'm thinking just a bit more Hp will do it. It is summer here and I do not want the down time of a turbo install. If I go that route there will no longer be a race just a slaughter. Whatcha Thinking ? All input is welcome. Thanks.

Hi All. I'm done playing with dead stock at the local strip. 10.051 was the best. I had three real nice evenings out at SIR here in Tucson, nothing like a cool summer night in the desert dragracing. I ordered some stuff from Orient Express today. They had a nice deal on a pipe/pc3/k+n that I couldnt resist (Part #SWPK41146H-224-1406).
Had hope for a PC5/auto tune combo but it doesnt look like it was part of the package offered. I'm not going to agonize over it at any rate. So next weekend in the garage ought to be a blast, I'll post some photos from gameday! Gotta run, need exaust gaskets!

I had actually read that on this forum, but thanks for the reminder, cool. Thought it was a pretty good package for the money, it included the PC3 and that was good enough for me. Feel free to laugh at me later down the road when I end up buying the PC5 setup! Its all good!

AzZX14,This is a tool and It's more about the tune or the Map you install in it that makes it great. This tool gives the user the ability to make fuel changes that would other wise be impossible. Both models will perform the same function. PCV is new and has that nice new auto tune feature. It is a nice new toy. I want one but I am also sure I don't need one. I am hoping that the guys on this site will report there findings and show a map compare before and after auto tune but thus far the thread has gone quiet. I hope to read some nice new #'s from you in the future. Cheers.
