I have had the ZZR1400 since 2006 and I had a lot done to it, what an awesome machine they are, I kept on reading all the reviews on the new 2012 version and thought how can they improve on perfection, so I took one out for a test ride, and had to get one.
The positive points I found were versus the 2006 model;
it is lighter, you could throw it into the corners easily
gives you more confidence (as is has ABS & Traction Control),
controls are easier to use for the dash,
Negative points;
The stupidly large exhausts, these had to go
Sounds daft but I find I am getting a lot more draft around the hips due to the styling
But overall what an awesome machine, I have another 400 miles till its run in, then I will see what this baby can do!

IT FEELS lighter but actually is 20 to 30 pounds heavier, i know its hard to believe

Hi Speedyme, Hell, yes you're right, 215kg for my 2006 268kg for 2012, all the reviews kept on about the weight savings they made, as in lighter wheels etc... Just imagine what it would have weighed then! Thanks for the info, goes to prove you can't believe everything you read in the press
