Seno was DEAD on!!
08/17/12 6:37 PM

Well today i picked up by 14r from the shop after getting it streched out 6 in and lowered. Well i too had the HORRIBLE 2nd gear stumble, the bike shop mechanic took it for a 5 mile drive and said oh yeah that sucks.Well anyway put back on the 42 rear sprocket and.........PERFECT. Thank god it's back to normal he said its the ecu reading the new sprocket and the rotation is off or something like that don't really remember to be honest, all i care about was its back to being normal. And truthfully i cant tell the difference from the 43 to 42 sprocket change, but i sure as hell can tell the difference with the 16 front sprocket back to 17,i did that last week and at first the bike felt soooo much slower building speed, but its alot smoother on the highway now that's for sure. And to be honest streching the bike 6in and lowering it i don't feel that much diffrence to be honest. Now i'm no corner carver but in the long nice sweeper it feels very planted now.Plus it feels so much better on my wrists with the bike being lowered a few inches!! The only real complaint is when i downshift now its kind of rougher like a harsh snap. I guess its from the longer chain or now i have a stronger chain[EK ZZZ] i don' know really, but i know when i downshift its much harsher, but only on the downshift the upshifting feels just fine. Thanks again seno my babys back!!!!!!!!

Thats good your one of the lucky ones. Maybe going down teeth in the rear doesn't affect it like going up.All i know it runs wayyy better now,so i'm happy.

This bike does not need a speedo healer.Already been talked about on bikeland and such. I tested my bike with -1 front and +1 back and thru a gps on the bike at 100mph it was showing 97mph,same as stock. This newer 14r doesn't get affected like the older one or any other bike period. search it up you'll see,and besides i already tested it. In fact on my main drag in my community there is a flashing mph sign showing you how fast your going and every time i go by that way i hold the throttle as steady as i can and with ALL the gearing changes iv'e been thru[it's alot] it's always off 2-3 mph at different speeds.

Speedo is as good as it gets on these bikes, unfortunately you have one that is effected also... Hopefully someone figures this out, it is frustrating. 16T front is nice for launching with an extended swingarm... Did it affect the "stutter" with the 16 on the front? The reason why I ask, is going down one in the front is the same as going 3 up in the rear. I wonder if this bike stutters with a 44 on the rear.

2015 30th Anniversary Edition 14R #250-> Brock's CT Ceramic Coated, Ivan's ECU Flash V2 & Map, Block off plates, HM Strain gauge quickshifter, GPR Damper, Spiegler lines, Muzzy's Sliders, Pazzo levers, Rizoma Next Fluid Tanks, DDM Ultra 5500K HID's Low & Hi, DB Windscreen, Cox Radiator guard, gold titanium bolts... too many to list at this point

Months ago when i went one down in the front i was one of the people that the bike was lurching low low down and brock had to make the newer street map for. Nothing helped it until i went with the plus one in the rear for some reason. Well i got sick and tired of the bike screaming on the highway so i went back to the stock 17 tooth up front and thats when i noticed the bad lagging in 2nd gear right away. But with the 16 tooth sprocket up front and the 43 in the back it was fine. Go figure????? Now everything is back to stock and its all better. But i swear when i rode it last night dont get me wrong its fine now,but when i tried to find the problem i swear its almost like you can still feel its not 100% perfect thru out the rev range in that area, but dont get me wrong its a HELL of alot better. Im so done messing with this bikes ecu. Sometimes tech gets in the way i sometimes miss the days without all computers running the bikes.
