Just wanted to see what size nitrous shot people are using on a stock bike. I know when working with nitrous, a lot has to do with the size of engine and whether you are working with forged internals or not. I used to own a slightly built 94 mustang GT. I used a 100 shot just to give it a little more go. Later on, I built a forged internal 440 for my 73 plymouth road runner. I understand that 100 shot on the built 440 was only tapping the potential of the engine(it was built to handle a 300 shot).
The reason I am posting this question is because a guy has a M109 and is looking for a big bore kit to get more hp. He is currently running nitrous and wants more. He is getting 118 hp without nitrous and 221 with nitrous. That tells me that he is running a 100+ shot of nitrous on a 1800cc engine. That seems like a lot. I thought that most bikes with 1000cc or more would only use possibly a 50 shot at the most. I did tell him that with that kind of nitrous, he should definately be looking into some sort of rebuild kit since his engine will not last long. My suggestion would be to get a sport bike (zx14) if he really wants to go fast, and let the cruiser be just that, a cruiser. If he still just wants a cruiser, get a Vmax. I think he would be happy, I know I would.
