Yosh R77 and Brocks Alien Head systems.
08/23/16 2:29 PM

Well, today I switched back to my Yosh R77 from the Brocks Alien head and it is definitely a pain to install..One pipe at a time and then the collector and then the mid and then the tailpiece, but boy do I like the sound...The Brock Alien head was just too noisy..It did register a couple of hp better than the Yosh on our test and was a few pounds lighter but actually lost a point on torque..The Brock looks better all tucked in with the neet green badge but too loud...

Let me explain it this way..

When you sit on the bike , turn on the key and hit the starter, you immediately look back to your right, thinking " What was that?" I am not kidding.. A couple times on the road with the Alien Head, I checked to see who was coming up behind me......

Now the Yosh is just a nice mellow sound. I can leave the house without the neighbors knowing and it doesn't get real loud until you get to about 3/4 throttle. And even then it is a good sound. And this is all without the insert..

Since I am not trying to wring every last ounce of power from the bike and more into enjoying the ride, the Yosh suits my needs well. If you want to make your HD buddies envious, get the Alien Head, it has the ability to make them cover their ears..:)

I am now finished with exhausting ZX14 experiments .. :)

Yeah, I agree. The Yosh has a nice deep tone that's not too obnoxious. Now if only I could find a new muffler for mine. Some cretin apparently hit my bike and left. Bottom of the can is now dented...

If you find 3 let me know too. The spool on the left side dented in the bottom of mine. Probably the same time my rear wheel smeared my license plate all over the under side of my tail. Hit a big frost heave up around Mt. Saint Helen pretty sure that's when it happened.

I like the sound of the Yosh too. Beautiful music.

Mine is also stainless. Maybe a group buy, ask Yosh for a discount...

I got the quiet kore can with my Brocks CT and it was a good choice. Very reasonable noise volume.
