Sizing
I measure 9.5 US EE (measured at Redwing). I can wear normal widths but usually it results with the sides bulging out. I ordered a 43 which correlates to a 9US according to published size charts. 44 is 10US. These boots fit pretty much perfectly. I agree with those that have stated they are more like a wide than normal.
Comfort
So far I've rode a few times and IMO they are very comfortable to wear. Walking it's obvious they're riding boots. Walking all day would be far from desirable. Short walks for a few minutes would be no issue. Zip up is tight, and so is the shin guard area with jeans tucked in. Putting them on and taking them off is best done seated, and requires a little more effort than the steel toed work boots they replaced (definitely worth it though)
Quality
Material and build quality are high. Nothing really more to state.
Protection
Researched sport/track oriented boots. Unlike some product lines (gloves, jackets) the boot market has a lot of good products that do what they need to when stuff hits the fan. Most brands offer great protection based on rider reviews.
Overall
This boot is oriented towards sport riding and track day use. I'm sure these are suitable for racing as well, but there are specific boots made for all out racing that should be considered for pure racers. They are comfortable, have a good history providing protection in accidents, and are built well out of solid materials. I have no problem recommending this riding boot and TCX based on this example. But as mentioned earlier, most brands seem to have solid boot offerings in this price range so you should be safe to choose based on fit (wider/narrower), style, and comfort.
I ordered the high vis model. They are stylish, edgy but not not over the top. 
These boots are lined, and have removable/replaceable insoles
Soles are a little slippy at first. After a few walks rides just like tires they start to offer a little better grip.
