Ive got an 09 that I'm putting an 07 engine in
I'm wondering if anybody knows what would be best
To use the harness, rather computers out of the
07 for the engine,or leaving the 09 system on board
Plugging it up and going like that?
I know there were some changes in the engine but I've
Been told that it's all the same and will work??
I'm installing block off plates,flies out of 09
Throttle bodies already..so I'm running those on
The 07 engine. Muzzy side winder for exhaust.
What PC should I run with an 09 system ??
Allot Diffrent options here I'm throwing out
See if somebodys got any experience at this

jon; I had an '08 ECU in my '06 for a while, and it ran way too rich. There are enough differences in the fuel injectors and exhaust between generations. '06-'07 same, '08 - '11 same.

You can tell by the the color. 440cc in the 2006-2007 and 330cc in the 08-11. Match the ECU if you have both ?

Run with the set up,I keep things the same on the
Bike and put the 09 bodies on the 07 engine

Ecu in 08-11 pulse the smaller injectors in those yrs longer so when you use the 06-07 larger injectors with 08-11 ecu, it pulses those big injectors to long (rich). Its a cheap hot rod trick when running E85 and/or n.o.s and need a rich set up! I would run 07 inj, with 07 ecu if you have it,especially if you plan on nos, E85, or any performance up grades soon!
