Anyone have any idea?
I am contemplating giving $13400, but not sure if I can get em down lower. I may also wait for the 2013, but not sure what they'll want for that one. But the 2012 should drop when the 2013 is out.....?

Actually it's even less than that, though that may depend on the dealer. My dealer sold me my SE for $200 over his cost so I paid $12,500 for mine Plus tax/tag/title. I had a trade so that wiped out most of the tax. Tag is around $100 and title is like $25. So I think your deal of $13,400 out the door would be decent (if that is OTD) but they do have a little room to work. I imagine there cost on a non SE bike would be about $11,800 but your starting to eat into there holdback. After all they have to keep the lights on and pay sales reps, etc so you that you can have a place to go buy a bike.

Yeah, I found some website on true dealers cost that listed it as $12.7 to $12.8k...I got mine for $13.6k out the door, but there's not too many options here in southern NM. If I lived near the east coast I'd try to get under $13k definitely. Read somewhere that there's only 400 or so '12 14Rs to sell in North America, doesn't seem like too many...then again, not too many people interested in owning this bike (niche market) or able to afford it.

They misquoted the price they gave me earlier. They've now upped it to a before tax/fees price of 13,693 and OTD of 14300 ($300 of the fees are to go get it from another dealer), and have reduced my tradein from 9200 to 8600.
I guess that's all of that. Oh well.
ANyone know of any other good deals in the IL, MO, KY,TN, IN area?

While the latest, and *worse* deal my local dealer offered me seems to be the best I can hope for..............This kinda turned off my enthusiasm for even getting a ZX14R.
$8600 for my bike............ I can't take such a loss on my bike, given that I got it in May, and its got a mere 700 miles on it.
But the saddest part is, all the other dealers i called in the area were offering a mere $7600 trade in for it. So the $8600 is a rather good deal when you put it in perspective. LOL

Possibly could sell on street for more,could take quite awhile though. whats book value?
