MPS can flash the ECU of a Busa to be used as the shift kill. Now that we have the Woolrich software is that possible for the 14r?

I've been wondering the same thing. I was talking to a buddy about it. I keep telling him MPS only does it for Busa, not the 14 but he keeps telling me to send it to them to do it. Dumb ass don't listen... Yeah, I'd like to do it that way too cause the buddy that keeps telling to have mps flash my ecu for the kill is killing both his ignition and fuel on the Busa at 20ms with zero issues.

The Gen II Busa has launch control built into the programming of the Denso ecu. Is this what you mean by 'shift kill'? Hold WOT in first with the clutch in and she only revs to 4000rpm (or whatever you choose), till the clutch is released, then full rev. The Woolich software can also adjust this for the Gen II Busa, but the 14R does not have this capability. Its not built into the ecu. If you want that capability in the 14R, the MSD Launch Control Box will provide this function as a piggyback add-on spliced into the coil pack sparkplug interface.

? We're talking shift kill. Not launch control.

But I see why now how they can offer shift kill for the Busa. Makes sense any way.

Or do you mean quick shifter capability by simply enabling that function? Still have to hook up a sensor and harness for the Busa I believe. The new Yamaha ecus have the ability to simply have the quick shift function turned on. The 14R ecu requires an external shift kill function such as the Annitori. The 14R ecu simply doesnt have the quick shift function coded in.

There are other makes out there other than the Annitori. I have seen them take a ton of abuse and give good functionality and reliability. Only reason I mention them specifically.

Mps offers this for their airshifter Kit for the Busa. They can program it for an engine kill of only 20ms and signal the solenoid for the shift. Totally eliminating the need for a seperate kill box and does it quicker and more reliable.

"C" this is what I'm talking about. It's for air shifter, not quick shifter or launch control.
