Good day gentleman, went yesterday to pick up the exhaust for my bike so i can get rid of the bazookas. I'm super excited to put this bad boy in. Got a great deal on a Hindle Evolution full system 4 into 1. Now I'm looking into picking up a PC5 for her and getting it tuned. I live in Canada and the local guy wants 490 for a new pc5 and 2 hours install. I think it's a bit pricey. So my question is that i found a pc5 on ebay for 280 new. I can do the install myself. I'm an auto Tech so i watched a couple of videos on youtube and it's not that difficult to put it in. Is there anything i should be aware before buying it from ebay. Can someone confirm that i have the right pc5. Part number is 17-005 for a 2012 zx14r. Also after the install is done do i need to download a map into the pc5 or can it be done when i get the bike tuned.will it start up blank. Your input will be greatly appreciated.

17-005 is the correct part number. The bike will run just fine with what's called a zero map. zero map meaning there is zero percent fuel being added or subtracted from the signal that left the ECU. If your interested in flashing your ECU to unlock it's full potential shoot me a PM. I would be happy to help you explore those options.

Had that exact setup and the best map for it made by Romans on the street under ram air conditions. Also have the custom Dyno map which made more peak "Dyno hp" but shit real world driving pull. Where are u located?
