Not so new guy
08/26/09 7:50 AM

I pulled the trigger on an '09 orange ZX. The fourth big Ninja for me with 3 Hayabusa'a in between. I must say it is quite smooth compared to my '05 Hayabusa. I rode an '08 Hayabusa before choosing the ZX and thought it was more uncomfortable than even my '05. I don't race very often, most of my riding is long range cruising with the need to dispense of multiple slow moving vehicles in a single bound.

Welcome, top... Be honest... 14 top the busa in more ways than smooth running? Can you tell the grunt between both bikes yet?

Don't forget CF sucks. DC has all the rejects over there... So check it out.

How come you found the ZX less comfortable than the Haya? You're Length or?

Actually, I have 25 miles on the clock so far. I should be able to put some miles on it today but the rest of the weekend looks like crap.
Matsuke, I didn't find the ZX less comfortable, the other way around. I found the '08 busa more uncomfortable.

I never could definitively pick between the two bikes. The performance is so close and I even have a hard time picking which one looks better. After close inspection, I think the busa has better fitting body panels that are more firmly attached to the bike. The slipper clutch and electronic steering damper on the busa are nice racing features but both probably are more befitting of a track bike than a drag race/landspeed bike which is clearly where the busa excells. The brakes are better on the 14, the aeros are better on the busa the headlights are better on the 14.........on and on and on, it's tit for tat. I had to pick the one I thought looked best and it was the 14 (those brake/clutch fluid reservoirs were the deciding factor if you can believe that- LOL). I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on an 08 busa in the next couple weeks. Not planning on letting the 14 go though.
