Welcome to the site. Super Street Bike removed the flies and ran for two years with no power commander on their test bike. Keep in mind with the Gen 1 zx-14 there is a lean spot around 35 to 4000 rpm.

Enjoy your your free bottom end horse power gain. cheers

Ok thx the lean spot won't damage the bike will it?? Cos I know that if a bike runs to lean it can damage the engine and blow a hole in the piston thanks

I would make sure you don't run it for long at that rpm.

I'd just get the PC on there and proper map before you pull flies. 3500-4000 is about where you will be riding at highway speed.

I ran stock headers, no flies, no pig. No problem. Someone asked if running without pig, without mufflers just header would do damage to the bike? He reported nothing but hurt ears and tolerant neighbors they didn't kidnap his keys. FI acts as no fly is present no muffler needed. Go for it.
