Some people just have no common sense. To invite conflict from the motorcycle community is just not healthy for your vehicle. I have a sense of humor like the next guy, but something tells me there is more to risk than a mirror and paint job.

Exactly right Wolf, more at risk than his mirror or paint etc ...
Especially if the Devils, Diablos, or Chosen Few get a hold
of him ....

I take that plate VERY personal after my last accident ...

I am not into biker gangs (I recently quit our local sport bike club)

When I was in the group ,To tell you the truth it was rather embarrassing wearing a vest and a colorful "look at me, I am a tough guy" patch as if I were a teenager

To each his own, but just not my thing

anyone else have any experience with these?

That's not too prominent and is on a riding jacket

It's the full blown vest/cut/colors that I personally felt a bit too old (in my late 40s) to be wearing. Lol

But it's a big world and we're obviously not all the same. To each his own

Not into gangs either, but there is an epidemic going on here in So. CA. guys are getting cut down left and right
and more people than you might think are doing it on purpose, and a general hate of any kind of motorcyclist
just because they can legally split lanes (only in CA.) and get in front of these assholes, drives them to
do things like I have stated, so if I can use the many gangs here, to scare these people, then. I am going
to do it,something needs to be done, and that is the only way anymore, people don't care so much like they
use to, I'm not talking about pulling them out of the car and beating them to a pulp, just a good talking
to from a group of HA's should do it ...

Hey 64 man, totally agree. To each his own.
It's an enthusiast riding group not an MC. We have H and A MC up here. See em all the time. Sometimes they stop to say hi, sometimes they don't. Many of them are not interested in civilian activities of common folk like us. So they leave us alone. However many of these men distribute drugs and or organize criminal activities. Last summer two H and A boys pulled me to the side to check out my patch. As a courtesy I pulled over. I could have burried the needle and disappeared. They obviously can't hang with a 14. They were curious about the group. We shot the ship and back on the road I went. Gangs are gangs. Some profit from illegal proceeds some don't. Either way as 42 YO man, I'd prefer to join a professional sanctioned group and stay far away from clubs.

Cara, I hate to hear there are do many bikes being targeted in your area. That's F ed up!

I have always wondered what is the appeal is for some seemingly successful, educated grown men to get so wrapped up in that scene

Its easier to understand how the more full blown gangs appeal to the " I feel like an outcast/no family/I need to belong to something" kind of individual

But, As long as they are not hurting anyone, more power to em

The sportbike club I was in... The founder took his club idea in front of the area biker club "officers" in order to get their approval to form his new club; couldn't exist on their turf without their OK as I understand it. His outlook was to honor the bikers of old who paved the way for the current bikers. Very interesting "pecking order" that whole culture has. Not for me, as My take was to honor the soldiers who made this a free country where a law abiding citizen can do whatever the hell they want and not have to answer to someone else

MC gangs are ridiculous. The honest ones are tolerable, but the bullying and criminal activities perpetrated by 1% assholes are fucking annoying. It's frustrating that these arrogant, narcissistic, meth-head pig fuckers get any traction within the MC community. Why does anyone care about their clubs or what they want?

If some shitbag wanted to pull me over to check my "patch" (not that I'd wear anything that stupid) I'd just ignore him. If that didn't work, their curiosity would be rewarded with a few 220gr kisses and my receding tail lights.

Hey Trail Boss, I like the attitude in your comment. I pulled over to see what they wanted. Why not, I don't show fear toward anyone. To me< if I dropped it into high gear and went mach 10 Out of there I might communicate a yellow streak that is just not in my make up. But yeah - to each their own.
Lots of passion on this here thread…
MC clubs are not my scene, neither is a life of criminal activity. It does feel excellent to enjoy camaraderie with motorcycle enthusiasts and riders.
But yup, to each, their own…

I'm with Trailboss. The only thing that comes to mind when I see a bunch of grown men wearing vests and acting like assholes is, "Grow the hell up."

I just want to ride.

I think their main thing is, to have a large number of people that think the way they do, that is
they don't want anyone telling them what to do, they want to be free to do ANYTHING they want,
they don't care if it is legal or not is the problem, also not many people mess with them,
the Outlaws are/were not even scared of the mafia, the mob kidnapped one of their members,
so the outlaws kidnapped one of the mobs people, and the mob backed down ...

Thing is, that when the shit hits the fan, the are no longer "family". they are not loyal
like they older guys were, they will turn on each other to avoid prison, etc ...

Working in accounting, I am curious about how the finances are handled for the gangs that don't work legit jobs anymore.

Do they all come in from doing whatever they do to make money and toss the daily "proceeds" in s community fund, then they each get a weekly allowances out if it?

Lol

A full time biker who no longer works, but does whatever they do, full time..... must really be something to aspire to become

Not to get all heady and off topic on this but I think that is a basic need for 99.99% of we humans (whether we like to admit it or not).

Think about what you are good at, what you love to do. Would you still do it if it had no purpose to any other person in your tribe? I know a lot of artists. When they surpass the level of amazing themselves with their own work, they stop doing it unless there is a purpose for their work within a community. There are exceptions, but I think almost everyone wants to "fit in" by being accepted as the tribal representative of a certain role. Most of us find a healthy outlet in mainstream society. Gangs members are people who have no purpose in mainstream society at all. The gang is a spinoff culture where the members find a purpose and fulfill their need to fit in.
