Im searching for a new helmet and i narrowed my choices down to the Bell Revolver or the scorpion exo-700 or 400. Which will be the better choice?

Buy for fit, comfort, and noise level (lower = better, of course). Though you have to research them and read reviews to get a sense of how noisy each is.
The reason I wear a Schuberth C3 now (when I could, and have, wear anything I want) is exactly because fit, comfort, and quiet are better than any helmet I've worn (most of them) in over 40 years of riding.
But they cost a lot. But then, so do some of the wanna-be race helmets which sound like wind tunnels inside in comparison. Heh.

Have a Scorpion helmet not really impressed with it. Kind of painful actually bought it cause I loved the graphics and now it just sits on my shelf. Two of my riding buddies bought the scorpion 1000's both of them had to return them started coming apart I have an HJC that is very comfortble and Shoei which is awesome. Go with the Bell, just cant advise scorpion for anyone.

Unfortunately, everyone's head has a different shape. One guys perfect fit, is the next guys comfort nightmare. Here's a site that breaks down the shapes. Find one that fits, and the rest in that category should be close. I don't know how current it is though. helmet shape comparison

As much as you ride, Cooter, you should care about noise. Do you wear ear plugs? I know you can't see 20 years in the future, but there is mid-high frequency hearing loss waiting for you there, and its not fun not being able to hear what people say.
Well, ok, sometimes its fun.... blah blah blah blah blah......

i think my Icon Domain got quieter as time went on. I have the shell sepparated from the inner foam now and I see the vents are not clogged. IDK why it got quieter. Hope it was not just hearing loss!
My Shoei RF1100 is brand new just about as noisy as the worn in Icon.
I wear earplugs all of the time. That is protective gear that saves you from injury that is going to happen, Not MIGHT happen. I need it for the loud exhaust but the wind noise at highway speed is just as bad.

The Bell Vortex sounds like the bee's knees in the price point you are looking.
The "Torn" in gold is on closeout for $80.

I heard mixed reviews about ask the helmets I'm interested in. I can see now its going to come down to the one that match my blue bike the best. I've tried on the scorpion, hjc and icon. The IS series from hjc has pretty basic graphics. The Icon has more flashy graphics, but the one I'm leaning towards the most is the blue rpm exo 1000 that thing is beautiful.

I don't think you could go wrong with that Scorpion. That Blue IS nice....very.Good price there as well.Just remember....any do dads sticking out from the contour of any helmet are gonna be a potential noise maker. You wear ear plugs...then it won't matter much.Been a long while since I had an HJC....so I don't remember the noise level.
My Arais have been fairly quiet. My Vemars...even more.I don't like wearing plugs cause I want to be able to hear the sound of the bike at any given time.Plugs kinda mute that...but I do wear em at times.Privateer's right....you will get damage over the long haul not wearing plugs.
BELL helmets have been making somewhat of a comeback in the last few years....they are 'cheaply priced".....But the reviews I've read have not been particularly glowing as for noise and fitment.IDK...You can pay less...and usually...that's what you get in quality.Snell and DOT ratings are fine...but there's way more than that going on with a helmet.
My new Vemar Metha is very soundproof...very nice. The fitment is snug and the design is good for not having a lot of wind coming up from underneath-the aerodynamics of it are very good for staying stable at speed.BUT...it wasn't cheap(400 bucks).......less than my Arais though...so...

It's really just opinions....If it feels good to you,and you know it's been snell or dot approved...then that's all ya need really."extra money"....IDK.Not every crash is gonna test your helmet. How many ya gonna get in?Who knows. There are some crashes that no matter what kind or brand you're wearing...you're gonna get killed...assume that yer head's gonna hit the ground no matter what.Get one that feels good, has good writeups (WEBBIKE WORLD)and suits your visual wants.Doesn't have to be super expensive...or it might...whatever ya like. They will all save yer brain and face in your 'typical' get off.(if there IS such a thing). It needs to feel comfortable and secure on yer noggin. That's the main thing. For more than 10 minutes.
That Scorpion with the visor inside...that's pretty trick.Could come in handy riding into the Sun.Course, you can get the same Sun block effect by putting a length(or two) of electrician's tape on the upper part of the visor.I've done that...works very well.
If I'm not mistaken...HJC IS Joe Rocket....??????

You guys are honing in on it. #1 criteria I'm hearing is it fits, and is comfortable after more than 10 minutes.
Sounds like a good first criteria to me. Because beyond that, except at the high end, the only difference is how you put it on (clamshell or traditional) and what colors and graphics are on the outside.
And graphics don't matter all that much, so much as can the freaking cage driver see it.
This is the first helmet I've ever had for more than a year that I'm not currently planning on replacing....
I am going to change it though. Its getting reflector dots. I hate to do it to that primo carbon fiber, but a couple at least.
Also, its getting vinyl decals front and back - "Do Not Remove Helmet" in 3D vinyl.

I just bought the Bell Vortex. It has a lot of nice features, but it is pretty loud. The vents on the temples are really nice and you can feel the difference it makes. It has a nice snug feel around the bottom. The graphics are cool there is many to choose from. I got the flying tiger. I also got the transitions visor. That is worth it right there. I never have to wear sun glasses. Overall I would say a good purchase. Just wish it was quieter.
